Much to his surprise, Arlowe Evangeline woke up to the sound of his own alarm ringing instead of his girlfriends. The lonely, cold spot next to his giving a clue that Calliope had already left. Arlowe didn't know what was with Calliope recently but she become more secretive with him and began caring for him less which was something he could only wish for in his dreams. Yet to his shock once he turned over, Arlowe was greeted with the buzzing from an unknown number, ''hello this is Arlowe Evangeline speaking, how may I help?'' Arlowe questioned croakily.
''Ah Mr Evangeline, you must be our new forensic expert. I'm Dr Mallory MacDonald your boss, Aaron Hotchner asked for me to bring you in because we're needed to clean up a case.'' A feminine Scottish accent run through the phone, ''well I can't wait to meet you in person Dr MacDonald, I assume the team will already be there once we arrive.'' Arlowe placed his phone down on the cabinet beside him, ''of course they will Mr Evangeline, now I hope to see you soon. My lab is on the bottom floor next to the cleaning room.'' The clacking of Mallory's heels echoed throughout the void of Arlowe's room, ''I'll see you soon.''
And boy Mallory wasn't kidding. Her lab was the end room at the edge of a very spooky, grim looking corridor. Arlowe couldn't even count the amount of cobwebs he had stuck on him by the time he had entered the lab, ''there you are, Arlowe Evangeline in the flesh. My god people weren't joking when they said you were beautiful, I've heard great things about you Mr Evangeline.'' Mallory greeted flipping through Arlowe's file, ''I'm sure your just exaggerating. I'm not that good.'' Arlowe chuckled placing his bag down on the desk, ''I don't bloody think so, you graduated top of your class in med school, top of your class in science and you even got offered a space in a science research lab with a very impressive salary which you turned down. Also your superiors in London say some great things about you.'' Mallory thick accent rung as she eyed the small paper bag in Arlowe's hand.
''oh I hope you don't mind but I brought you coffee and biscuits.'' Arlowe held the offerings in his hands, ''well aren't you just the sweetest. I barely know you and... argh I just want to keep you here forever already.'' Mallory pinched his cheeks making the blue eyed man giggle like a happy baby, ''right then we better pop off before Hotchner sends his little tech minion to come and hunt me down for being late.'' Mallory swung her keys on her finger as Arlowe lightly jogged behind her, '' ' ya know what Arlowe, if the whole law thing doesn't work out for you, you could always become a teacher with how gentle and sweet you are.'' Mallory's door fell harshly behind her.
Arlowe almost wished he could've been invisible when he turned up at the crime scene. All eyes of the FBI team glaring harshly at him as he moved behind Mallory, heavy medical bag dangling off his shoulder. The comments from the team ringing in his brain.
''looks like the new forensic scientist is here.''
''oh, I wonder what he likes? Do you think he likes literature?''
''he real nice on the eyes isn't he.''
''what kind of man where's a colour like pink.''
''right, that will be all. Agent Evangeline is a talented and kind man who is good at his job so how about we just leave him be.''
''yes, he pretty nice. I bumped into him the other day and Reid he loves a bit of literature and will be happy to talk to you about any book you like.''
Arlowe smiled to himself when he recognised JJ's voice, ''i'd just ignore them, you've got a job to do and your brillant at it also i think pink looks smashing on you.'' Mallory's voice brought him out of his daydream, ''right then genius tell me what you can see from the body.'' Mallory continued, placing her gloved hands on the body.
''well the victim has ligature marks on the neck but it is a lighter colour than what we expect it to be which leads me to the conclusion that it wasn't stranglation that killed but rather the jagged cuts on her wrists exactly where the arteries would be.'' Arlowe paused moving further down the body, ''this would drained her blood supply slowly but it would've given the killer enough time to slowly enflict more wounds above her heart, genitals, uterus and cut where the arteries in the leg are.'' Arlowe concluded watching Mallory scribble down in her notebook.
Mallory glazed over the flaxen haired man in front of her, ''well Mr Evangeline that might just be the most detailed report i've ever gotten from a beginner and you seem perfectly correct in your analysis, I'll go talk to the agents about your theory and i'll meet you back in the van.'' ''actually Mallory since we have a bit of time do you mind if i go have a quick stroll?'' Arlowe asked bouncing on his feet, ''its no problem whatsoever, I can see your bursting to wear out your energy a bit so off you pop.''
Arlowe eagerly walked away from Mallory with a little bounce in his walk. Mallory would never self-diagnose one her collegues but she was more than likely positive that Arlowe had ADHD or some hyperactivity disorder, ''ah there you are, agent Hotchner don't run away from me. I know how much you love when I talk with you.'' Mallory called out. The blond-haired man paved his way down the path, nosily listening in on someone's phone call.
''Garcia please do not pester the poor man when he get's back. He's just started and I think the last thing he wants is to be harassed.''
''I know that JJ. But do you think he might be able to do a little favour for me.''
''Garcia, I know what you're thinking and the answer is no.''
''Come on JJ, this could be my chance to get prince Williams phone number.''
