Chapter zero (introduction) 

It was an early morning at Dr. starline the platypus' layer. Starline had assigned a mission to kitsunami the fennec fox, and surge the tenrec, to go, again, and try to kill sonic the hedgehog, and miles 'tails' prower the fox. They didn't want to but they had no choice in the matter, in fact kit kind of liked tails, but he didn't know how he felt about them, like a friend but, one very special friend. Surge just didn't want to do it, she didn't hate sonic or tails, she just didn't like them either…

                        Chapter one
Outside tails' workshop, the group of 4 was testing one of tails' new inventions. 
"So only when I say so, knuckles you'll press the button. Got it?" The orange fox said slowly and carefully trying to make sure their knucklehead of a friend doesn't do something wrong. Especially since this was a brand new invention. "Yeah, yeah, I got this. "Said the bright red echidna, ready and excited to press the bright red button. Sonic standing near the tree they were testing on (yes they were testing on a tree with the machine), knuckles standing on the other side of the tree holding the end of the machine, tails standing at the other end of the machine, not to far away from knuckles, and amy standing next to sonic. "ok knuckles, now you-" the fox gets cut off by the sound of a button being pressed before it had to. "Wait no!" Yelped the fox. The machine turned on and started to make a loud noise. It was like a big vacuum. Everyone running towards the machine, except for sonic and tails, trying to turn it off. Tails and sonic looked at each  other and sonic gestured his head to knuckles, tails immediately knew what to do, they grabbed knuckles hands and took them away from the machine. They took the place of where knuckles was standing and pressed a whole bunch of buttons in order and it turned off. Everyone was catching their breath except for the blue hedgehog. "What *breath* was that for?" Said the angry but out of breath pink hedgehog.   "... Oh you mean the machine? That's tails' fault." The knucklehead said calmly. "What! MY fault?! " said the fox with a full face red. "Lets get you inside to cool of buddy" said the Fox's older brother. "Fine. But I'm talking to you later knuckles!" Said the little fox pointing to the echidna, face still red. "Not on my watch" said the hedgehog turning around the fox by the shoulders heading into the workshop. Sonic and tails sitting down on one of the tables. "He is so… gggrrraaaahhhh!!" Yelled the angry fox. "tails calm down. you know knuckles has never been the sharpest tool in the shed." Said sonic trying to calm down his little sibling. "Yeah, I know. I think I got it out of my system." Said tails "good, now I have a question for you" said sonic. "Yeah? what is it?" The curious fox said "what do you think of that cute little fennec fox?" Sonic said with a mischievous smile. Tails blushed at the very thought of kit. "H-he's fine i-i guess''said the little fox blushing. "Well I heard that kit feels like you're a little more than a friend to him" still keeping the mischievous smile on his face, not making up that information because surge told him that. Tails' face turned red and they put their hands on their face. *meanwhile at Dr. Starlines layer* surge and kit started to head over to tails' workshop, kit using his water to walk like a spider and surge using her electricity to move fast. They got there in no time, when amy and knuckles saw the two, "sonic your friends are here!" Said the pink hedgehog. Sonic walked out of tails' workshop. "Oh hey guys" said sonic calmly but kind of annoyed by how many times they've come over to try to kill them. Tails comes out of the workshop and blushes seeing kit. Kit also blushes seeing tails but he grabs his ears and puts them in front of his face but you could still see his eye's. Surge takes a look at the flustered two and looks at sonic. Sonic sees surge and gestures to the opposite way of the blushing foxes, she walks to the side where sonic gestured, but slowly so that kit wouldn't see her leave his side. "What?" Surge said, "sssshhhhh" sonic said, "*whispers* what?" Said the curious tenrec. "I think we both know that those two are head over heels in love with each other, correct? Said sonic. Surge looked over to the two and saw they were standing in front of each other awkwardly and looked to the floor as kit grabbed his ears and tails grabbed their tails. Both of them grabbed something in embarrassment. Surge slowly looked back at sonic " yeah I thinking it's obvious " she said trying to not sound rude, *she's working on that*. "So we need to intervene so they can stop being the awkward scaredy-cats they are and get them together" said the hedgehog trying to help his sibling out. "Yeah I'll start" said surge proudly like she had a plan. She walked back over to the couple of foxes and "accidentally" bumped into kit, making him fall into tails' arms, tails of course catching him, but both turning more and more red, Kit jumped up in front of tails. "Uuuhhh, s-sorry" said the flustered fox "i-its fine it was an accident" smiled tails as kit blushed at the sight. Surge and sonic fist bumping while looking at the couple. Tails looked to the side and back at kit again and again, like they were thinking of something. They were about to say something then kit blurted out.. "D-do you like me!?" Blushing hard but keeping eye contact with tails. At that moment he realized…it was a crush, And that crush might just like him back. Tails blushed and grabbed their tails again in embarrassment. "C-cause I like you" said kit, blushing harder than before, not knowing what he was doing. "I-i-" tails started but they couldn't finish, they looked at sonic to see him giving a big smile and a thumbs up, that gave them confidence. "I-i do" they said blushing looking at kit while they said it but covering up their face with their tails after. Kit felt a hint of relief and a hint of happiness for what felt like the first time in his life, he wanted it to last forever. But it couldn't… so he just walked closer to tails and hugged him. Tails letting go of their tails and hugging him back. They both felt safe and so happy, and also relieved. Tails was so happy that they kissed kit's cheek without a second thought. The two looking at each other blushing hard, kit surprised and flustered, while tails was flustered and shocked as to why they did that. "Uh, ok b-bye!" Tails said running off to go inside their workshop, kit still flustered and staring at the wall replaying that moment in his head, blushing even more, he grabbed his ears and flops down onto the ground. Sonic and surge just standing there mouths wide open in shock. Both looking at each other and celebrating, surge rembering their on a mission, and shakes kit back into reality. "Uh? " said the fox "waking up", "we need to go!" Said surge starting to run back. Kit about to run but then remembering tails, he opened the doors to the workshop. Tails turned around from still trying to comprehend what they just did, and kit walks up to them and kisses them on the cheek, "bye" kit said as he blushed then ran back outside and used his water to run like a spider again, tails blushing hard, feeling like they were about to faint, squealed in excitement. 

                       Chapter two
The next day, tails could not stop thinking about what happened with kit, "are we a couple? Did he do that put of pressure? Does he need help with Dr. Starline?" Thought tails while makeing an invention, being distracted made them burn themself with hot metal. "Ow!" They yelped. " *sigh* I have to stop thinking about that, or just do something more safe" they said while rapping their hand in cloth, then they remembered the word "safe" and it immediately reminded them of when they and kit hugged. So they decided to give their love a visit, but they didn't know how. So they would ask sonic. They ran outside to see sonic and the others playing volleyball. They all played for a bit, then sonic noticed tails waving their arms while blushing. Sonic slammed the volleyball and got another point. "Hey, give me a sec! Take a break while we're at it, you'll need the fuel!" Sonic said winking. "What's up buddy?" He said. Tails blushed and looked at the floor, "i-i was thinking… should I visit kit?" They said. Sonic gave a mischievous smile and scooped tails into his arms. "I'm like you guys' #1 fan. I'll be back guys!" Said sonic. He ran and what felt like 2 seconds they were there, and not outside, inside right in front of kit's door. Sonic let go of tails and they blushed and shooed him away, sonic bowed to him like he was royalty and ran off. Tails fixed their bangs and knocked. Kit was on his computer and was confused, he never got knocks before. He opened the door and blushes seeing tails. He widened his eyes, grabbed tails, and closed the door behind him. "W-what are you doing here? You could get caught." Kit asked shocked to actually be seeing tails IN HIS ROOM. "I.. Came to see you" tails said blushing "and I don't care if I get caught….i wanted to see you". Tails said grabbing kit's hands. They hugged and when they seperated, kit kissed tails, and it felt like forever. They seperated and both blushed tails covered up their mouth in shock, and kit smiled big while being flustered. Tails felt confident, grabbing kit and pinning him down on his bed. Both blushing but tails feeling "spicy" and kissing kit. Both feeling hot but comfortable in each other's embrace. Kissing until they couldn't breathe. They seperated and snuggled tails still on top of kit but laying down. Their face next to kit's, kissing his neck very gentle…
