Clinking sounds of silverware against ceramic plates, lighthearted chatter and occasional burst of giggles filled the small yet cosy dining area of the apartment. The two adults approaching their thirties and a tiny toddler were having their dinner together just like always.
Jimin had cooked a delicious pot of Kimchi Tofu Jjigae with a few banchans accompanying the main meal.
"Hmm... Minnie! This tastes so delicious! You gotta teach me how to make this!" cried Taehyung devouring another morsel of deliciousness.
Jimin grined before playfully rolling his eyes. "Please, Tae! It's better you stay away from kitchen. We all remember what happened the last time you tried your hands at cooking," Jimin sassed.
Taehyung lips formed an offended pout. But he couldn't come up with a proper argument because he knew that Jimin was right. He sucks at cooking. He can't cook a simple meal to save his life. Boiling eggs and making a simple omlet is as far as he could go in the arts of culinary skills.
Jimin and Jung Mi laughed in unison at the disastrous memories of burnt, unbalanced or tasteless dishes they had to taste. But seeing her papa's fallen face, little Jung Mi's heart shivered. Gulping her laughter downed she cried, "Don't worry Papa! You make better pancakes than Uncle Minnie!"
Taehyung's pout dissolved to a wide smile. His daughter never fails to make his day. Jung Mi is so sensitive and mature for her age and this quality of her's surprises him all the time. Ruffling her silky hair, Taehyung made kissy faces. "Thank you, my Princess! You are such a sweetheart! Tomorrow I'll be sure to make pancakes for breakfast!" He promised.
"Nutella pancakes?" Jung Mi asked with glittering eyes.
Taehyung playfully glared at his daughter. "Now, Honey don't try to be a smarty pants! Remember you already had your share of nutella for this week," He replied.
Jung Mi's form deflated. The little girl was a fan of all things chocolate and sweet. Taehyung relates with her since she inherited the sweet tooth from him. But that doesn't mean he endorses it. Of course he had to play the part of a responsible parent.
