The door chime rang, inviting the brunette omega into the cosy and rustic indoors of a coffee shop. Delicious aroma of freshly brewed coffee welcomed him first. His mood got instantly better and energetic thanks to the aroma.
After the hectic events of the early morning and dropping Jimin and Jung Mi at the bus stop, Taehyung came to his regular coffee shop. The cafe had a rich and aesthetically pleasing ambiance and it certainly helped that their coffee was even richer and smoother.
Owing to the wonderful taste and setting, the cafe was very popular among residents. So, without much ado, Taehyung joined the queue for ordering.
"Good morning, Mr Kim," greeted the barista at the billing counter.
"Morning Tia!" Greeted Taehyung back with a smile.
"Let me guess, your regular order. One cafe mocha with one teaspoon sugar and a double shot of espresso. Am I right or right?" Tia, the chirpy girl, spoke loudly.
Embarrassed, Taehyung spoke awkwardly, "You know it girl! Yep I'll have my regular order. Also can I please have the chocolate chip brownie too."
The girl punched the order before making a remark, "I see we are giving ourselves a treat! Well, Mr Kim let me tell you, you deserve this brownie. Unnie has just baked them and they taste amazing! She gave me some to taste and ugh! They sent me to a distant place." The girl chatted away ecstatically, forgetting the long queue behind Taehyung.
Taehyung could only awkwardly smile at the talkative girl. He was used to the otherwise kind and good natured cashier, rather all the customers were. Despite her a bit of an annoying habit, she had the quality to connect and bring people to herself. It's why she hasn't been transferred to another department or fired. Not that she could be fired, after all she was the half owner of the place.
"Mr Kim, good to see you. Here's your order, enjoy!" Another barista cut the rambling of the chatty girl short. Sandy, the main barista, baker and the other owner of the cafe, set his order on the counter. She then turned to her fiancé, wrapping a playful arm around her waist, she slyly commented, "Darling, you can talk with Mr Kim and tell him all about my amazing brownies later. The queue is piling up. We need to hurry."
"Oh, yep! Sorry, I lost track of time. Here, Mr Kim, your change. Have a lovely day!" Tia sheepishly spluttered, returning some quarter coins. A faint blush formed on her cheeks.
Taehyung gave a slight laugh and took his tray off the counter. "Good day to the both of you! Bye" he spoke before shauntering to a window side bench.
