Knox had woken up the next morning early and for one of the first times instead of going for a drive to clear his head like he usually does, he decided that he was going to read one of his books.

He found himself thinking of a blonde, blue-eyed racer who he was gaining feelings for. Knox had been used before so he hated gaining feelings for people as it made him vulnerable.

Meanwhile, Brian was sitting in an office with Tanner and Bilkins from the LAPD and the Feds. Bilkins looked at Brian "there was another truck just a few days ago."

Brian sighed "the same thing?"

"Yep done with four Honda Civics and the tire tracks match with the tires of people in the racing world." Tanner looked at Brian as he sat down "there is currently a lot of political heat on this case, Brian."

"Not to mention," Brian looked over at Bilkins "if we don't wrap this case soon, the drivers are going to take this into their own hands and a lot of people could get hurt."

Brian nodded "I still need to get Dom's trust but I'm working as fast as I can."

"Good," Bilkins spoke "because I told them we were close. Are you going to make me a liar?"

Brian shook his head before leaving as Tanner followed him out "Brian, wait!" Brian turned around "you don't have to do this if you're not ready."

"I'm ready," Brian spoke seriously. "I just don't think that Toretto is the one doing these heists."

"Brian," Tanner spoke again. "Dominic Toretto is a criminal. He did two years for beating a man half to death. Don't turn your back on him."

Brian nodded before getting into his car. He thought about everything that had happened in the last twenty-four hours and couldn't help the smile at the memory of Knox and the kiss. It was probably the best thing that could have happened to him right then as it gave him an in into the Toretto crew. However, there was something bad about it; Brian had liked it.

He had really liked it and he liked Knox as well which didn't bode well for him especially considering that eventually, he was going to have to reveal that he was a cop which would blow any and all relationships he could or does have with Knox Toretto to pieces.

Knox meanwhile left his bed when he heard Dom head to the garage. Dom looked up when he saw his brother enter "are you working on the Exige today or the Demon?"

"Both," Knox spoke as he grabbed his toolbox and headed to his cars that were parked next to each other. "I want to stop putting so much strain on the Demon so I need to work on the Exige as well."

Dom nodded and couldn't help but chuckle a little at the picture in front of him. His brother's cars were the complete opposite of each other. The Demon was black and red along with entirely American Muscle while the Exige was white and foreign speed with precision. It was the perfect way to describe his brother.

They were both taken out of their thoughts when the blonde that had saved Dom last night showed up with a car that looked like it had been run over.

Dom looked at Knox who shrugged before looking back at Brian "what the hell is that?"

"I owe you a ten-second car right?" Brian looked at them in confusion as Knox just stared. "Since saving your ass from the cops got mine blown up and destroyed. Here is your ten-second car."

Knox snorted at the face his older brother made before smirking and speaking to Brian "You have a sharp tongue. I like pretty things with sharp tongues."

Brian smiled and looked at Knox locking them in a staring contest before Dom's voice brought them out of it "I said a ten-second car, not a ten-minute car."

"Well," Knox spoke before Brian could. "I guess you shouldn't nearly have gotten and then gotten his car destroyed." Dom glared at Knox as he took a sip of his beer before continuing "karma's a bitch, big brother."

Mia, Letty, and Brian all snorted at Knox sassing his older brother and essentially calling him an idiot. Brian couldn't help the smirk on his face at the small victory of Knox Toretto siding with him over Dom even though he knew that even though they sometimes fight, they always protect each other.

Therefore when all was said and done it was likely that they were going to stand with each other which meant that if he couldn't get Knox to turn on Dom, Brian might have to send Knox to prison with him. Brian was not as okay with that as he should have been if he was going to continue with this job.
