Ride or Die - Brian O'Conner

Dom looked between his brother and Brian not liking what he was seeing. "This is ridiculous Dom spoke. This will never make a ten-second car." 

Jesse sighed "I can do it with a little time. I can fix it up." Jesse then glanced at Dom "or don't you have faith in me?" 

Mia and Knox both snorted as Dom glared at them before looking back at Jesse "I have faith in you but this is a garage, not a junkyard." 

Brian looked at Jesse "pop the hood." 

"Pop the hood?" Dom asked incredulously.

"Pop the hood," Brian spoke and nodded. 

Jesse popped the hood and sat there in shock as Knox moved forward "2JZ engine." 

"What did I tell you," Brian asked. 

Dom looked at Brian in disbelief "I retract my previous statement." 

Brian looked at Knox when he moved beside him and held his fist out for a fist bump. It wasn't often that someone got one over on Dom or proved him wrong for that matter. 

Jesse sighed "this could demolish the track if you put $15,000 or more into it."

"Well, put it on my tab at Harry's," Jesse smiled in excitement before Dom looked to Brian "I gotta get you racing again so I can make some money off your ass." Brian nodded and smirked before Dom continued speaking "there's a showdown in the desert called Race Wars. That's where you'll do it." 

Knox looked at Brian as he and Mia walked by him "he owns you now." Brian looked at Knox in confusion although he had a feeling that what Knox was saying was the truth. 

Brian was sitting with Jesse after picking up a bunch of spare parts when Knox appeared and handed Brian a beer. Knox smirked at him before walking away leaving Brian both confused and intrigued. 

Jesse saw where he was looking "dude, don't even try it with him." 

"Why?" Brian spoke not worried in the slightest. "Is Dom going to kill me for it?" 

"Are you kidding me, Brian?" Jesse should his head like Brian had said something hilarious. "Knox will do it himself." Brian took a sip of his beer as he thought about Knox. 

The two then heard Mia yell for them "why don't you idiots come take a break from that car and join us." 

Brian and Jesse looked at each other before shrugging and heading outside to see Dom grilling as the others milled around. All of a sudden the peace was interrupted when a car pulled in. Brian who had moved to stand next to Knox saw Vince get out of the car take a step forward and then spotted Brian before turning right back around. 

Brian couldn't complain as he hated the guy but bit his tongue and didn't say anything as Vince peeled out of the driveway. 

Knox sighed knowing that Vince was probably one of the most stubborn people on the planet and that if he didn't like Brian now then he probably wouldn't ever. 

Together they all sat down and when they held hands to say grace, Brian smiled as he held Knox's and immediately felt the spark. Knox jolted a little but didn't let go of his hand which made Brian smile before they separated and dug into their food.
