They soon left the bonfire and went back to the leopard territory. The chief had agreed to stay in the castle, as long as Harvey and William could too. They were only staying for two nights. The next day, the chief decided to get in contact with his old friend, the wolf king, and make an arrangement about Eudora's pet beast.
The family of four settled down, Harvey across the room from the other, the chief in beast form warming Eudora with his body heat and fur, and William, who was in beast form, next to the chief.
Eventually, the sun came up and the family was woken up by its bright rays. The males yawned and started to stretch, still in their beast forms. Eudora on the other hand, was still partially asleep on the floor, reluctant to get up.
"Come on Eudora, the queen will want to see you soon." Harvey encouraged her to get up, tapping her shoulder.
"Yes, yes, I am up Harvey," the blonde mumbled, rubbing the sleep from her eyes.
Suddenly, her eyes widened, remembering where she was. She quickly got up and put on her favourite fur, a wild leopard skin knee-length slit skirt, and a cropped tube top with small straps. She was still a child and had no figure yet. William had made them for her as a gift when she turned 10 winters old.
"Papa, hurry up, you need to go speak to the wolf king soon." Eudora squealed. She was extremely excited to get a pet beast. It had become the very thought that plagued her mind.
"Yes, yes Eudora. Harvey and William can go out until the sun reaches its peak, then they have to meet up at the entrance to the castle, after that we can go to the market. I have some crystals, that you can trade with Eudora." the chief instructed.
"Eudora will stay with the queen for the first part of the day, while I meet up with the wolf king and make an arrangement." He continued.
Harvey and William nodded while Eudora jumped and squealed.
The chief dropped Eudora off at the throne room with the queen, the king was off doing his duties. Harvey and William left to find some rare herbs and learn some new tactics of a brother of Williams. With everyone doing something the chief felt happy to be organising something for his daughter. He was worried that he might not be able to find a suitable candidate but was hoping the wolf king's cubs had enough potential.
When Eudora arrived at the throne room, it was vacant apart from the queen sitting on her throne with her mates surrounding and pampering her. When she saw Eudora, she squealed loudly and jumped off the throne to greet the younger female.
"Oh Eudora, I am so happy you are here. I have more to teach you before you meet your pet beasts." Mimi told her. "But first, come, we are going to the garden. I recently planted these wild grains so I can watch as the birds each them. I had my mates build a bench big enough for me to lay down on, but we can share it." Mimi ranted.
They soon arrived at the garden, Mimi sat on the stone bench layered with luxurious-looking furs and tapped the spot next to her.
"Come, sit, I have much to tell you." The older female said.
Mimi continued to tell her all about how to mate, which Eudora at her age found very gross, and wanted to move on. Mimi laughed at her reaction but abided by her demand, she then talked about how you need to always have control of your family. Although there was a head male, the female must always be in charge of her family, or the males will get ambitious and try to force their opinions on their female. She taught her how to cut a bond, but Eudora said she didn't want to ever cut a bond. The elder blonde just patted her head and continued. They eventually got to the topic of ferals. Mimi talked of them with venom on her tongue, she said that they were cruel cold cold-blooded beasts who did not know how to properly care for a female. She said they were not fit for a female mate and to never accept them, no matter how convincing or strong they were.
