OMG, I can't wait to get away as fast as I can. I've been having issues at work, the new girl is definitely here just to annoy me. She follows every single rule as if they were written by law. I'm at work and alphabetizing all the returned books. Yes, my life at work is so stimulating, not. I can't help but want to jump on the fact that Sandy asked me to come with her to San Diego to help look for a new home. I had originally said I wouldn't go, but at this point in my life, I think the time away would be a good thing. My parents want me to move back with them as my apartment lease is coming up and unfortunately it can't be renewed as they were going to be selling the condominium. I feel if I move back home, I'm just going to go insane between my mom over protecting and this over the top fascinating life I have at the library. My social life has now become slim since Sandy spends here time back and forth between Toronto and San Diego.

I go back to the desk where Miss Goody Two shoes is and grab my purse and pulled out my cellphone. She's looking at me as if I was doing something wrong. "What?" I ask. She looks like she was going to kill me with those dart like green eyes as she looked appalled at me questioning her.

"Nothing! Just tone down your voice and I hope you don't use your cellphone here at the library!" She said hushing her voice as she tried to down talk me. The Nerve!

"I was actually going to step outside. I don't need you telling me what I can or can't do. How long have you worked here? Oh yes, its been less than a month and I've been here longer. I do believe I know what I can and can't do in here. Now if you would get back to your alphabetizing of the books that just came in, you can have the volunteer place them back on the shelf. I'll be back after my break." I stormed out of the library to the front doors and just scream once I saw day light.

I'm a teacher and I settle for this because I can't find anything. I need a new job. I look at my cell phone and dial Sandy. Just like I thought, voicemail. I didn't bother leaving a message, I don't like leaving any as its a pet peeve of mine. I just text her and hope she replies back soon before I have to go back into that Dragon inside. I swear she's mellow to who she wants to be but with me she blows out fire through her eyes and nose once I look at her. I decided to walk a little to think things through a bit. The more I think of it, there more I do realize I need some time away. I have a ton of vacation days at work and its not a bad time to go. Since now we have Elsa the Dragon at the library, she can definitely look over my area of the library while I'm gone. In fact, I'm sure she's excited to be taking over my job, she's dying to overstep me. At this point, I don't even care or have the energy to want to fight with her. My cell phone rings, its Sandy calling me back.

"Hello"

"Hey girl, sorry I didn't answer, I was with a client and I couldn't step away on time to catch your ring. What's up?" Sandy said all cheerful. I mean, why wouldn't she be cheerful, she has everything going great for her and she'll soon be away from all this drama here.

"I was thinking of looking into joining you to San Diego." I hear a loud screech, she was so excited to hear that.

"Yay, I want you to definitely come Amiga. It would be so great and then we can look at some dresses in Cali for the wedding. I've looked into a few boutiques online and I would like to go and check them out. You can model some dresses for me. I can't wait. I'll look into getting your flight info."

Sandy was amazing, she was my best friend and she was always by me when I needed her. I was so happy to know that she picked me to be her bridesmaid for her wedding. It was an honor, I thought possibly she would pick her sister but she says she wanted me to stand by her. I was all for her being with Mateo. They made such a cute couple. In fact the four of us together was so much fun. We did everything together when we would visit the guys or they visited us.

"Hello....Candi, you still on the phone?" I hear Sandy in the distance as I was remembering good times a few years back.

"Yes, yes, I'm here, sorry I was just thinking. Yes of course, I'll go make sure that its ok to be away for a couple of weeks here at work. But I do think its ok. I'll text you right back letting you know if its a go." I say as I drift back to reality, reality without Alejandro. I miss him so much. He was my world, the love of my life.

"Okay, sounds great Candi. I'll look into things here and see if I can reserve a spot on my flight and once you let me know, I'll book it." Sandy said all excited.

"Sounds great, let me know and I'll pay you for the flight and I'll organize a hotel to stay at." I say as I finish off the conversation and head back to work.

I walk back in and of course the Dragon is sitting there all perfect and proper. She looks up as I enter and she smirks at me. I wonder if she's going to point out that I'm a few minutes late. I just walk past her and walk to look for Mrs. Peterson that overlooks the Human resources department here at the library. I found her with some students looking for some chemistry books that they were researching. I pulled her aside and asked her if I can book some time off and that I would be looking for at least 2 weeks away from work. She thought that there would be no issues and thought that would be a wonderful idea as she has seen how stressed I have been at work these last few weeks. She told me she would let me know once she can book it for me. I quickly wrote down the time period I was looking for and headed towards Elsa the Dragon.
