We kind of worked together I guess, I didn't get much done though.
I don't think she could make her hatred any more obvious, she only talks when she needs to, which makes sense due to her antisocial nature.
Just as the bell was about to ring I remembered I don't have a way to talk to her outside of class, if I'm going to finish this tonight she should at least help. "Give me your number." kind of a long shot but I might as well try.
Yeah, that look says it all, not going to happen. "Hell no." she snapped back, her sass is never-ending, but I'm not doing this whole project on my own, she wanted to be stubborn so she's doing the work. "Email? I would like to be able to work on this outside of class. If that's ok with you." if she wants to be bitchy, I'll be bitchy right back.
I wasn't expecting her to just hand me her phone, but I'll take it. Why is her phone so goddamn bright? "Ugh you use light mode?" she must be more insane than I thought, what kind of teenager uses light mode?
I wanna see her get all angry again so I'm switching it, also for the sake of my eyes. I handed it back and... there's that cute scowl again. I chuckled slightly, that only seemed to make her more mad. "Haha. very funny. Change it back" she said, her stale laugh only made it funnier, struggling to stifle a laugh I shake my head.

Finally home. "Hello again empty house" I call out as I drop my bag on the floor of my dimly lit room.
Today wasn't completely terrible, besides getting caught behind the school again. Being smart pays off, I get away with a lot just because the school can't afford to kick me out.
That doesn't matter now, because now I have a new distraction, Eliza.
Speaking of I should email her, I might as well get some work done while I'm just sitting here. I opened my laptop to the doc we made in class, there isn't much on it, it won't stay that way for long.
I guess I should see if she's available to work, this would be a lot easier if she had just given me her number. I just sent her a simple greeting, obviously she didn't answer. The minutes drag by slowly as I work on the project, this was supposed to take us weeks but I really couldn't care less. The faster I get it done the more time I have to do nothing.
I gave her about forty-five minutes before I emailed her again, sending her the doc and questioning her lack of response. Not long after I see her on the doc, I watch her work for a bit before closing my computer.
I already did most of my work, I can sleep peacefully now, well for the most part. Sleep doesn't come easy to me very often, I spend a couple hours tossing and turning before finally falling asleep.

Chapter 2 1/2 late night encounter - his perspective
My eyes gently flutter open, wow I slept like shit. I have a pounding headache, and my whole body feels sore. It's only six so I have time for a shower, I need to wash off that dream. Eliza was there, no... it was Eliza. Guess she's in my head more than I thought... even feeling the hot water, hearing it beat down heavily on my head, it doesn't clear my thoughts of her. If anything it makes them worse, I'm supposed to hate this girl... why is she in my head? Infiltrating my mind like a disease.
