Grey is a simple construction worker and is highly respected among his peers. But one night he has a run in with some thugs on the way home. He is taken away to a powerful woman who is the boss in the area. How will he talk his way out of this one?
I chuckle to myself as I sit on my phone looking at my dating app. "Fuckin worthless things." I say and look at my reflection.

"Hey Koi-Len! Mind if I borrow your knife?!" Jackson asks and I toss it to him.
"Thanks bro!" He yells and I give him a thumbs up.
"Going up?" I hear Kristen ask and I chuckle as I get on the pallet. The crane lifts us up to the top where a group of guys struggle with a stuck bolt.
"Getting it out or putting it in?" I ask and one of them sighs.
"We need it to go in but Terry forgot the wrench and hammer." Ezekiel says and I chuckle as I pull out my adjustable wrench. As I tightened the bolt my coworkers all watched me work. I look over to see this and sigh.
"Guys could you grab some spikes and take them over there by the excavator?" I ask them respectfully and they all jump up.
"You got it Boss!" One says and they begin to head for the ladders.
"I'm not the Boss!" I yell at them and they all laugh. "Bastards." I say and finish up with the bolt.
"Grey!" The foreman Isabel calls up to me and I look down.
"Yeah Boss Lady?!" I ask her and she smiles.
"Could you come down here?!" She asks and I nod. After securing my wrench again I hope down from the massive height. I land with a roll and she jumps back slightly. "I'll never get used to how you Vastayans can just do that crazy shit." She says and I smile.
"It's alright to be jealous." I say with a chuckle as she rolls her eyes. "Alright so what's up?" I ask and she gathers everyone around us.
"Alright everyone! Rico shut that damn machine off!" She yells and Rico quickly shuts down the excavator. "We all know our company rewards hard work and dedication right?" She asks and we all nod while looking at each other. "Well I have great news! Our very own Wolf Grey Koi-Len has been promoted to a Foreman in training!" She cheers making my eyes go wide. I look around to all of my senior employees as they clap and cheer.
"Guys! I'm literally half of a lot of your ages!" I yell and the oldest worker puts his hand on my shoulder.
"Well you earned it boy! Your dedication and attitude made us all vote for you!" Tim says and I look shocked.
"Vote?" I ask and they nod.
"Yeah kid. Who do you think recommended you for the promotion? We all knew you wouldn't do it." Rico says and takes my hard hat off to ruffle my hair.
"Hey!" I growl playfully and everyone laughs as I chase Rico around with my wrench.

I sigh as I hammer the last pin into the ground. Everyone has been long gone and I just wanted to finish this set up. I don't have anyone waiting for me at home. I change into my normal clothes but keep my vest on so people can see me walking at night. The night is cool as it slowly turns into fall and I can see my breath in the air. "Ah I love the cold." I say. I look at an alley that would be a shortcut to my house. I shrug and begin to walk down the alley calmly.
