I finally returned from my extensive trip, and one of the first things on my to-do list was catching up with Florence, my dear friend from home. We had decided to meet for brunch at our favorite cafe, a cozy little spot with the best croissants in town.

As we settled in at our usual corner table, the warm aroma of fresh pastries filling the air, Florence and I couldn't help but exchange wide smiles. It was like old times.

"So, how have you been, Y/n?" Florence asked, sipping her latte. "I've missed you, you know. People here are so boring sometimes, I needed my best friend back."

I laughed and replied, "I've missed you too, Flo. I feel like it's been ages since we hung out like this."

The cafe buzzed with life around us, but it was just background noise to our conversation, a perfect setting for reminiscing.

Florence leaned in with curiosity. "Tell me everything. I want to know about your travels, the people you've met, and all the exciting adventures you've had. I've been craving some good gossip."

I took a deep breath, knowing that recounting my journey would take a while. "Well, let's see. It all started with a trip to Italy, where I met up with Paul. He introduced me to some people and brought along two people I hadn't seen in a while."

Florence listened intently, nodding along as I continued to share the stories of my Italian adventures. "Oh and," I said, "You know how I got you to stalk that guy?"

Florence nods, taking a bite out of her scone. "Kimi Antonelli."

"Well, he was one of the guys Paul invited to the boat and we may have hit it off."

Florence's eyes widened, intrigued by the name. "Kimi? The racecar driver?"

I nodded enthusiastically, her excitement catching onto me. "Yes! We had a great time at the beach, played football were we may have tripped over each other and I swear to god Flo, time stopped."

"Wow," Florence breathed. "Well you're living the fucking life, I can't believe the guy you got me to stalk was actually friends with Paul."

"He's coming here in two months and we're going to go to dinner and hang out as much as we can in between racing. Mum's fine with it because she figures that I'll be staying with Ollie at the hotel anyway."

I couldn't help but smile. "Oh, speaking of, and then, I went to Mexico, where I got to be there for Ollie's FP1 debut with Haas. I couldn't have been happier for him."

Florence's expression changed slightly at the mention of Ollie. A wistful look filled her eyes, and she sighed. "You know, I wish Ollie and I could just talk to each other like we used to. I miss him."

I placed my hand on hers, understanding her feelings. "I get that, Flo. Maybe you should give him a call. You never know how much he might be missing you too. And a little birdy told me that he may be thinking the same as you right now."

Florence offered a small smile, grateful for my suggestion. "Maybe I will. So, tell me more about your trip."

With that encouragement, I continued sharing stories of my adventures, recounting the beautiful places I'd visited and the incredible people I'd met along the way. Florence was an excellent listener, occasionally interjecting with her thoughts and questions.

As we finished up our brunch, we couldn't help but be a bit more serious, contemplating how our lives had evolved since my return. "You know," Florence mused, "one day, when we're older, we should plan a trip to Monaco. I've always wanted to go there."

I chuckled, imagining the grandeur of such a trip. "Monaco, huh? I can already see us pretending to be high rollers at the casinos."
