Race day. This was going to be an important one for Kimi. He and I had talked about the milestone this race would be for him - the nerves he felt, the excitement about upgrading to a much faster car. Kimi wasn't the biggest fan of the media, not used to all the attention he got, especially now in F2 instead of F4. Kimi had told me how he always liked to keep everything private, which was the only thing that worried me when Florence sent me a gossip page that touched on Kimi and I being in a relationship.

In all honesty, the fans and the gossip page were as unsure as I was. I had no clue what Kimi and I were. It never bothered me that we never put a label on it, I mean, he had never actually asked me out. For gods' sake, we had never even kissed, and the media were already jumping to conclusions. I knew I needed to discuss this with Kimi, I wanted to make it clear that I did not want the media or the fans to push us into a relationship. I wanted it to be natural. Whatever we had then is what I wanted to keep, the pace, the connection.

I snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a tap on my shoulder. I spun around to see a beaming Florence.

"Well, hello." I smile at her, glancing at the Ferrari jacket she had on.

"Did you see the posts about you?" Florence asks me, a small amount of concern but also amusement. I roll my eyes playfully, walking past her, knowing she'll follow me.

"They got my bad side." I replied, and she giggled in response, linking her arms in mine as we make our way to the Prema garage, the race starting in about fifty minutes.

"You don't have a bad side.... amor." Florence teases, a smirk on her face as I turn to look at her, her gaze still looking away from me.

"You're so annoying." I mumbled, and she laughed.

"You love me, amor." She replied, and I elbow her swiftly as I see a few Prema fans wave at me, so I smile and wave back, feeling a bit weird that they know me.

"Ok, you need to stop with that one Flo." I told her and she rolled her eyes.

"Sure sure, but girl, you've always hated the pet name thing, well I mean, you've never been this..." she trailed off and I raised my eyebrows, waiting for her to continue as we pass DAMS and I see Arthur talking to- omg. "Entranced with a boy before bee." Florence continues but I hit her and signal for her to look where I'm looking.

"If that Charles Leclerc?" She questioned, her voice shocked as her jaw opens. I've only met Charles once but he was quite nice, the reason I was suddenly nervous was because Florence absolutely loved him.

"Don't faint." I joked but she wasn't even listening to me anymore.

"Hurry up, we better go before he sees me." Florence ushers me away but I see Arthur wave me over and Charles, with that charming smile, wave as well. "You took two fucking long, you idiot." Florence groans as I rolled my eyes, finding it amussing how nervous she is.

"Hello." I hug Arthur and Charles embraces me in a short hug, a smile exchanged.

"Oh, this is one of my new friends, Florence." Arthur introduced the shy girl next to me. Florence was no shy girl, she wasn't extremally extroverted but around people she knew she was always funny and outgoing.

"H-hi." She stutters and I pinch my nose to try stop myself from laughing, looking at Arthur who was grinning.

"Ah, Florence, Arthur mentioned you before." Charles' Monegasque accent coming through and Florence blushed. Both Arthur and I were struggling not to laugh.

"Good things I hope." Florence manages to get out and Charles assures her that all was fine.

"Don't you have a race for F1?" I asked him and he shook his head.
