The lights went out, but your shadow remains.
Nothing more should remind me, but the inescapable figure.
It's all around me, an eternal sight.
It stands by me, but as dark as the night.
I lost the feeling, but I see what was forgotten.
A shape of which, I cannot touch.
An image as dark, as the void in my heart.
It will never speak, but it stays with me.
It walks from behind, but it lacks your bliss.
The endless narratives, from my favourite figure.
The marvellous smiles, the glorious look,
Never to be seen, from this dark reflection.
The blackout remains, that of the lights.
Understand I cannot bear, to see it again.
But memories remain, they refuse to fade.
And so it remains, the shadow again.
