Chapter 6: Surprise

Kristina jumped up off the chair that she was sitting in to answer the door. Caitlin gasped when she saw Jake standing there, he was just as shocked as she was. Caitlin pushed Jason's head away from the crook of her neck and stood up to greet Jake. "What are you doing here?" Caitlin asked calmly "Why the fuck would you let him do that to you." Jake answered screaming. "Why are you worrying about it!?" Caitlin answered. Ohh the sassiness is coming. Jake walked up to Jason and yelled "If you EVER touch her again i will-" he was cut off by Jason punching him across the face. I forgot that half the reason that Jason moved was because of how many fights he got into.

Jake glared at Jason with anger filling his eyes, He kicked Jason in the stomach. Caitlin was about to jump in and punch Jake before Kristina grabbed Caitlin and dragged her up to her room.

Not even 5 seconds after Caitlins' door closed the 2 boys went back to yelling their heads off. Jake keeped on trying to punch Jason as I held him back. What's with all of the tension between them? I know they aren't that close but do they really have to try to kill each other for a girl. Honestly I'm with Jason because like buddy's for life, Jake doesn't need to know. Jason was still on the ground from the kick. Was it that hard? I pushed Jake out the door and locked it. I came back and helped Jason stand up, he lifted his shirt and you can see a bruise forming on his stomach. "You fuck baster! How dare you fuck turn on me like this!" We could hear Jake scream from outside of the house. I just ignored him and helped Jason up the stairs to Caitlin's bedroom. I knocked before we entered and saw Caitlin and Kristina throwing clothes all over the floor. What were they doing? "Oh, hey guys, we're just going to go out for a bit, maybe to the mall or something." Kristina said, turning around to look at us. "Ok we'll just be downstairs if you need us." I said, closing the door behind me.

How can so much happen in one weekend? Saturday Jacob and Piper broke up and I was asked to be his 'fake girlfriend', Sunday Jason comes back, Jacob and I go on a date and then Jake comes over and fights Jason! Wow way too much drama, and it's only the beginning of the fucking school year. Sadly today wasn't a weekend it was Monday, it was the first Monday since homecoming. Which means Piper was surely going to throw some sort of fit. But that's not all, It's also the first Monday that Jacob and I have to actually act like we are dating.

I was pretty nervous to say the least and I was thinking about texting Jacob about it but then *ding* I got a text.

Jacob: Morning, I'm kinda nervous for today tbh

Well damn me to Jacob, me too!

Kristina: Morning and same, I feel like Piper is gonna jump me or something ffs

Jacob: She won't I promise... and if she does I'll be there;)

Kristina: Ok, bye see you soon!

Jacob: Bye!

What the hell does he mean "I'll be there" I swear to god this guy! First we were best friends then he ghosts me for around 1-2 years and now he wants to "fake" date me?!?!

And yes I will admit he isn't too bad of a person, he's tall, funny, nice and if i'm being honest he's quite cute. Maybe this 'fake dating' thing won't be so bad after all.

I hear a honk from outside and I see Jacob in his car! He's too young to be driving, does his parents even care? I just picked up my bag and started walking down the stairs. That's when my older brother decided to open the front door. Oh god! He'll probably beat up Jacob for what he did. What am I going to tell him! I walked all the way down stairs to see what he was doing, he was just standing there looking at the car. Jacob slowly walked out of the car and towards the front door. "Hey buddy whatcha doing here?" my brother said to Jacob. I thought he would be mad at Jacob though. "Nothing much Liam, I'm just picking up your sister for school." He responds. Liam looked at me then back at Jacob trying to figure out what was happening.

"Calm down, we've been hanging out together with Caitlin and...Jason lately" I said "WAIT!!! REALLY?! Why didn't you tell me Jason's back! I'm gonna kill you! Why didn't you tell mee?" he pouted. "Ok bye I'll see you later.. Asshole." I said walking out the door towards Jacob "Wait for me I'm coming with you." he said while putting his shoes on. "Don't you have work today?" I asked, looking at him "No. I don't have work for like two more weeks." Liam yelled because I had already got into Jacob's car. He came running out of the house and jumped into the backseat of the car.

I took out my phone and texted Caitlin that I won't be taking the bus this morning. She just sent me a thumbs up so I just put my phone away to listen to what the guys were talking about.

"Soo, when did Jason get back?" Liam questioned from the back seat

"Sunday" Jacob answered

"WAIT IS HE COMING TO SCHOOL TODAY?!?!?" Liam yelled

"I think so.." I responded

"YES! Haven't seen him since like 5 years ago." Liam said happily

The rest of the car ride was just the boys talking about random shit I'll never understand.

When we got to school I got out of the car and everyone was looking at me. Oh shit I forgot I had just gotten out of Jacob Smith's car. But the face that stood out the most was Piper, she was bright red and obviously horrified by the fact that Jacob and I were coming out of his car and holding hands.

Caitlin and Jason came over to us smiling but then Jason got flattened by Liam as he jumped on him and hugged the living hell out of him. Wow! Cutee but weird. Me, Caitlin and Jacob were laughing at what was happening before us. I was shocked when Jacob came closer and put his arm around me. I could feel my cheeks getting pink. Oh no I'm blushing! I can feel Piper's eyes burning a hole into my back because of how pissed she is. I guess Jacob's plan was a good idea after all.

Right after Liam stopped attacking Jason the bell rang and everyone started to make their way inside. Jacob still has his hands wrapped around my waist and I'm pretty sure I'm still blushing, but why I don't even like him... Shit, Jacob and I don't have the same first period class... but me and Piper do! By the way Piper failed her class last year so this year she had to do it with us. As everyone started to fill the classroom. I saw Piper and she was making her way towards me! SHIT WHAT DO I DO? She didn't only walk up to me but she sat beside me! "Hii" she said happily "Hi?" I said still confused on why she decided to sit beside me and not her other friends. I was just about to pull out my notebook when Piper grabbed my shirt and pulled me close to her and whispered "Why the fuck are you talking, laughing and HOLDING HANDS with my Jacob!" "One, he isn't yours and two he broke up with you last week!" I whispered back. "UGHH!" she said, not whispering this time, "Can you let go of my shirt?" I said "F-fine" she uttered.

The rest of that period went by pretty fast and surprisingly enough Piper didn't say a word! I practically ran out of the classroom and away from Piper. Lucky my next class was with Caitlin but it was P.E which sucks!

That bitch! First she hung out with Jacob while we were dating and now they're dating, I'm gonna kill her! Right after the bell rang Kristina ran out of the classroom and to Caitlin, her shitty best friend. I ran up to Jacob "B-baby why were you and Kristina hugging and holding h-hands?" I questioned "For the last fucking time Piper, I broke up with you and yeah Kristina and I are dating GET OVER IT" he yelled. Oh god everyone is looking at us! Wait, everyone is looking at us.. I pulled Jacob into a kiss but right before our lips met he pushed me onto the floor "Fuck off" he screamed and walked off. What the hell, he c-can't hate me, we are meant to be! I ran off fake crying to try to get Jacob to follow, apologise and kiss me.
