Hesitance. That was what Jaemin was feeling when entering the huge building you could spot from hundredths meters away because of its impressive futuristic design. It was the first time he'd been so close to it as the part of the city that the huge apartment building was located in what was considered as one of the noble districts of the town. He didn't really come there often as it just didn't fit with his own living-standard and all those designer boutiques and people walking around in expensive clothes were slightly intimidating him.

Another point why he was so hesitant waiting in the lobby of the tower, was the receptionist who was perfectly styled, eyeing him suspiciously. It definitely didn't help him feel more at ease.

Still, he didn't have another choice as his former roommate had moved out to live with his long-term girlfriend and his parent's weren't willing to pay the full rent for the apartment, which he could understand. So, he had to look for a new place to stay at as he didn't feel like living with his parents, just because he needed to have his freedom. Trying to find a new roommate would have been useless as his apartment wasn't situated in a what people would call "trendy" area and in a rather rural spot.

It had been a coincidence that he had found out about a boy wanting to share his apartment with someone else in this rich neighborhood and even though it wasn't the nearest to his university, Jaemin couldn't let go the chance to live for such a surprisingly low rent. That's why he applied for becoming a roommate, though keeping his hopes low. The surprising result was him standing in the entrance of the building now, nervously preparing for whatever would come.

Luckily, his patience was rewarded when someone approached him from the side.

"Are you Na Jaemin?," a person with a rather deep voice asked and then positioned themself in front of him, scanning over his appearance though they didn't seem that interested.

"Uhm, yeah," Jaemin hastily replied, taking in the man that was standing near him, wearing a khaki bomber jacket and black wide jeans which didn't seem to be from pricey brands, Jaemin noticed. He also had black hair which surrounded his striking, handsome face, complimenting his features.

"Is this..?," Jaemin wondered and as if the other one had read his mind, he spoke up again, confirming Jaemin's suspicious.

"I'm Lee Jeno, your new roommate," he explained briefly and then already proceeded to show the way by turning around, glancing back as if to make sure Jaemin was following him, which he did, having hastily grabbed his luggage.

"You don't want to check my ID?," Jaemin asked while they were making their way to the elevator, inwardly cursing his suitcase for making such loud noises on the noble marble floor.

"If you want to I can, I guess," Jeno answered unbothered as they were situated in front of the elevator, watching the numbers of the different floors change as it went down, and took the ID card Jaemin offered him, quickly taking a look at it before giving it back to the owner.

"Should be fine," he said, Jaemin becoming slightly irritated by the other's dryness in talking.

"He didn't even look properly. Seems very trustworthy," Jaemin sarcastically thought but didn't really care, as long as the other guy was decent and he'd have a nice loft to stay at, he was fine.

The ride on the elevator was silent most of the time but Jeno broke the silence, which Jaemin hadn't expected and said something even more unexpected.

"Uh, I'm sorry if I am that quiet, I'm just very awkward with strangers but you seem alright actually," he explained, not eyeing Jaemin, seeming somewhat embarrassed.

"Oh, it's fine. We can get to know each other, no stress," Jaemin replied calmly, slightly happy that Jeno tried to show some effort. He was grateful as Jaemin himself was kind of the same around strangers, so he understood Jeno. When he was closer to people, he opened up quickly though.

The two went through the huge corridors of the building, having arrived on the right floor, Jaemin being impressed by how big and impressing everything was. It would take some time for him to get used to pompous interior design of the apartment complex which featured monstrous chandeliers and well-groomed-looking plants in golden plant pots.

"It's exaggerated, right?," Jeno commented and chuckled lowly, noticing how Jaemin examined all the details on their way to the apartment.

"Uh, just unusual," Jaemin replied, not wanting to show that the whole decor was indeed a bit too much for his personal liking.

"I don't really like it either. But it's my parent's apartment, so...", Jeno stated as if that changed his opinion about the way the interior was chosen.

He was then halting his steps, and quickly taking out some keys from his jacket pocket. There was a cute bear key-chain attached to it, that Jaemin noted, somehow unexpected for a person like Jeno.

"This is adorable," he told Jeno pointing at it, the other guy letting out a soft laugh.

"Thanks, it's a gift from a person that means a lot to me," he explained and smiled to himself while putting the key into the lock, looking slightly cute in Jaemin's eyes.

"Who is the person that can make him look happy like that?," Jaemin wondered, already curious about who Jeno was, who were his comfort people and his friends.

Even though Jaemin seemed uninterested in other people, he was a very nosy person who loved to discover the personalities of other humans and sometimes also was content hearing about all the gossip and drama going on. Especially new persons was what peeked his interest and so did Jeno. And he was willing to find out more about his new flatmate, he wanted to get to know the mysterious man he hadn't been able to see trough yet better.
