"So, I thought we could go to a ramen restaurant, is that fine with you?," Jeno asked while they were leaving the building.

"Sure," Jaemin replied, stuffing his hands in his jacket's pockets as it was already a pretty cold evening for autumn.

"How do you like the neighborhood?," Jeno wanted to know as they were walking around, sounding genuinely curious.

"„I don't really know to be honest, I've never really been here before, just for a friend's party every now and then but I haven't seen much of it yet," the other boy explained, not feeling like telling Jeno his true thoughts (intimidating and scary and rich, arrogant people) as not to seem unsatisfied with living here. Which he was not, he just had to get used to the people and the atmosphere of the district.

"Hmm, I see. What's your friend's name, if I may ask? It's just that only a couple of people my age are living around here, so I might know them ," Jeno said as they were turning to the right, into a smaller street which was illuminated by different signs for restaurants and bars.

"Oh, his name's Chenle, he's a rich, spoiled boy. But he's nice. And he's a social butterfly so the chances that you know him are high," Jaemin explained, smiling at the thought of his adorable friend.

He didn't recall how they had first met but Jaemin was always a welcome guest at Chenle's famous parties, a 'VIP' how Chenle liked to call him. Though he rather chose not to go most of the time because he got nervous having to interact with so many strangers at once.

"Ah, yes I do know him. Not personally, but he's the friend of a close friend of mine," Jeno told him.

"I see. Next time we can go to one of his parties together," Jaemin suggested with a laugh, finding the coincidence a bit funny.

"Hmm, I guess. I am not really a party person though," Jeno stated.

"Same actually but going with friends can be nice," Jaemin meant and smiled.

"True," Jeno agreed and reciprocated the other's smile hesitantly.

"What are your hobbies? What do your spend your free-time with?," he then questioned while he was opening the door to a tiny restaurant, showing a server two fingers to express that they needed a table for two and at the same time holding the door open for Jaemin who was impressed by his multitasking.

"Is that how you get your table at a restaurant here?," he giggled amusedly when the sat down in front of the chef, who was preparing the fancy-looking soups behind the counter.

"I don't know, I just don't like talking," Jeno retorted and took off his jacket unbothered, which made Jaemin chuckle.

"Okay," he commented and then grabbed the menu that the server had brought them, skipping through it to see what he would order. When he glanced at the prices on the right side, his eyes became huge.

"Wait, Jeno, this is way too expensive," he exclaimed, looking at the other guy.

"No, it's not. I said I would invite you. And I don't want to show off or anything but my parents have a lot of money, so it is not a big deal. Please just let me invite you for a meal," the other explained, the tone he used indicating that there was no other option for Jaemin besides agreeing.

"If you say so," Jaemin answered and shrugged.

"Thanks I guess," he then added and continued reading the menu, not really complaining about the free food although he did feel bad about the other paying.

Soon they both had ordered, Jaemin leaning back on his chair and enjoying the atmosphere while looking around a bit. Jazzy sounds were coming out of a few speakers in the restaurant, creating a relaxing vibe. The chatter of the other guests were also adding to it. It was interesting watching the chef in front of them preparing dishes.

"How did you get a place for us?," he questioned noticing that all the tables were full and people started lining up outside for the restaurant.

"My dad knows the owner. I just called like an hour ago and he said we could come," Jeno told him unbothered. Jaemin just nodded at that, hiding how impressed he was about the guy next to him. Or about his richness. He wondered if he had suspected Jeno was rich if he would have encountered him on the street. So far, it didn't seem like Jeno liked to brag about the fact that he had money. Unless many other residents of this neighborhood, he wasn't wearing designer clothes.

"Two shoyu ramen," the server announced and placed the dishes in front of them, the scent making Jaemin crave the food even more. Damn did it look delicious. After they had thanked the server, both started to eat the soup and it was so yummy Jaemin took his time to taste all the spices and ingredients. Some of them he couldn't make out.

They were halfway through their soups when suddenly a new song began playing. The song choice was so weird that Jaemin couldn't help but laugh at the singer's vocals, needing to stop slurping his noodles for a short time. Jeno eventually cracked up too, the two of them not being able to eat while the song was playing. Whoever was singing the song had a super high pitched voice and it just sounded super funny. It got so bad that Jaemin even almost chocked on his noodle.

"What was that song," he let out a bit breathless with tears in his eyes from laughing when it finally ended.

"I don't know," Jeno said amused, brushing his hair back.

"Tell the owner to delete this song from the playlist," Jaemin joked giggling and finally ate on, being grateful for the calm Jazz music playing again.

"I will," Jeno answered with a grin and did the same as Jaemin, both of them enjoying the rest of their ramen.

The two man ate pretty quickly and then left, as there were time limits for eating at it because of the huge number of people coming every evening.

"Very tasty," Jaemin told Jeno when they left the restaurant, greeted by cold night air.

"I'm glad," Jeno replied, looking up to the sky but no starts were seen.

"Thank you again for inviting me," Jaemin thanked him as they were heading back to the apartment to which Jeno made a gesture showing that it was nothing.

"What time do you usually go to sleep?," Jeno questioned while they were riding the elevator.

"Uh, about eleven pm," Jaemin let him know.

"Oh, I see. I don't have a fixed time but I'll try to be quiet after eleven pm then," the other replied, to which Jaemin nodded with a "Thanks".

"I feel like we will get along well, you seem like a good roommate," he then spoke with a smile, Jeno returning it slightly shyly.

Okay guys, but the situation with the restaurant actually happened to me. Like I was eating ramen with my friend and some of her family members and suddenly this super strange song started playing and we were cracking up so hard.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this. Thank you for reading!
