" Cadets. It's time to train on your vehicles." Samir said. " OK. Can we get breakfast before we go? I haven't eaten much yet." Veronica asked.
" Sure. I heard about this amazing breakfast spot near Retina's Smoothie Shack. They're supposed to have great sandwiches and honey scones, plus they have delicious lemonade with drops of food coloring to change the colors." Rylan asked. " Sounds good. Make sure to avoid practicing after breakfast, so you don't know: throw up everywhere or get an upset stomach from undigested food." Bella said. At the breakfast spot, the cadets put their orders on a digital tablet and pass the time with some interesting conversation. " So, do you wanna train together, you know, before the test?" Rylan asked. " Sure. We could go to the nearest forest after snack time. " How does that sound?" Veronica asked. " Cool. What did you guys..." Jeremiah asked, but the orders came around, and the cadets, hungry and impatiently, ate their breakfast and practiced some new moves afterward, using the energy from the food to give them an extra boost to increase training stamina. " This wing turn is rusty, but I'm determined to make it perfect before any unexpected mission pops up," Mindy said, turning around her aquatics vehicle. " How's training going?" Bella asked. " It's good. We've finished all of the obstacles in Tricky Tropple Canyon." Jeremiah said. " Jeremiah is up first. I hope you tuned up your flasher for this. It should be washed inside and out to keep mold and nasty smells away." Bella said. At Triple Tropple Canyon, Jeremiah prepares to complete the obstacle course challenge. " Have you performed your pre-flight check?" Bella asked. " Yep. I made sure my engines were full." Jeremiah said. " Good. You've got 45 minutes." He soared through the canyon, over trees and mounds of dust and dirt that had been there since the beginning of the formation of the land, 65.7 million years ago.
" You'll have 45 minutes to complete this challenge," Samir said. Jeremiah flew over the canyon and used the Flashers' talons to remove some big rocks from a cave. " Alright, Jeremiah, you're done. Next, Veronica splashes into the deep waters of the beach.
" You need to get through the coral reef before the timer runs out, or else you'll fail this challenge, and you'll need extra training, which we don't have time for, especially with the strict instructor that's coming in a few days and Bella and I still have to test out the new upgrade," Samir said. " Is the instructor nice or mean?" Veronica asked. " The instructor is pretty strict but if you impress her, she might have some second thoughts about this academy and she might advertise it as the best school for becoming great community helpers," Bella said. " I hope I pass. I'm ready for the test, though." Veronica said.
" Well. It seems like the teachers are impressed with how well we improved and how our skills have impacted our training... just like the technology has. The technology is helping us around headquarters." Jeremiah said. " You guys need to work hard on your training, but you're improving. The training day is almost over, but because of the grace in my heart, I'm letting you guys go early. You're dismissed!" Samir said. The bell rang and the cadets rushed out of the headquarters and went to the beach to unwind and blow off any extra energy that was worked up over the training simulations.
