Steve was shocked but somewhere in his heart he felt relief and he was happy. Steve maynot be in love with Natasha, but he started to have some feelings for Natasha.
"Wow that's a great news" exclaimed Steve after all it would be great for our family and us.
"Ofcourse it will be" said Elijah and left.
He again went back to his study.
Meanwhile Natasha took Steve to the garden to spent some quality time with him.
"What happened? Are you having second thoughts? I know you don't want to marry me if-" Natasha said, trying to calm Steve, but he interrupted her.
"It's not what you think. I am afraid."said Steve.
"Why?"
"I have lost many people whom l liked and could cope with it even if it was difficult, but it feels like I should stay away from you."
Natasha was shocked hearing Steve and asked "Why?"
Because I have a feeling that I will shatter completely if I lose you."said Steve.
"I have loved you for so many years even after your rejection, no matter whatever happens you will never lose me." Natasha assured Steve.
"I can't lose you" said Steve hugging Natasha tightly in his embrace.
The family members looked at them from downstairs and Elijah from the window of the study in second floor.
Melina said while adoring them "look Alexie, my son-in-law is more romantic than you. You should learn from him."
Alexie frowned and said "that little brat can't be more romantic than me. He is just trapping my daughter in his web with his sweet talks, but not to worry I will keep my eyes on him."
"You are jealous!" claimed Melina.
Despite all this banters going downstairs, in the study Elijah was in his own world. The gloom of the past overshadowing his face.
