All I saw was black. I opened my eyes to see that while I fell asleep someone turned my lights off and shut the door for me. They also took the book out of my hands and placed it on my desk with a bookmark in it. I got up out of my bed that someone had placed me in and got the book. I was up to a chapter about the side effects of being part demon. The only things noteworthy was that I might grow horns and my nails will get harder and sharper and turn into claws. That wouldn't bother me much.

I sat down on my chair, trying to read, but wasn't bothered enough. My mind started wandering, first about to what dad tried to tell me, then to my school and how I should find another friend. I have one friend, he's not the best because he bosses me around all the time. His name's Cedric and his types are Earth and Water. Usually I just go to the library and read, or play the newest and most popular card game called Epicards. It's a pretty fun card game and the artwork is splendid. You get monsters by going to the Epicards website, you order the ones you want or you get a pack. If it's your first time ordering, you make an avatar card and it gets sent to you for free. The best thing about Epicards that it's also a game on the W.I.D, and it can scan your brought cards and then you have them in the game. I don't have very many, but sometimes I borrow Jeff's and Shard's cards.

I slowly got out of my chair, walking out towards the living room. The tv was blaring, it looked like some sort of game show. The family was sitting at a slightly clawed table, doing a family art session. This happens rarely but Magnus always enforces it. It looked like Shard was drawing a dead angel, looked perfect as always. Jeff had a painting but I couldn't quite see what it was, but it had lots of black and red. Magnus was drawing a face of a war torn man. He explained to Shard that it was his old mentor that trained him when he was young. He said his name was Ralgreth.

Shard's little, black with hot pink highlights, demon dog /toy poodle started to bark at me. I started to make hand movements and started whispering to get it to be quiet, but it didn't shut up.

"Skar! Come sit down here do some art." Magnus ordered. Damn! I thought I could sneak past without anyone noticing. Stupid dog.

"Do I have to? I am going through a very emotional time here!" I yelled at them.

"Skar, you were asleep in your room, with no emotional trauma." Shard stated snakily.

How could she see me! My door was shut by a mystery person, who totally wasn't dad.

"Just sit down and you can talk to me about your so called emotional troubles."

Just as Magnus finished talking, a bloodied angel with half of it's white wing ripped off fell through our window, glass and blood going everywhere.

"Jeff, guard the window" Magnus said, preparing for what I dreaded next.

"Wait, kind sir! I mean no harm. I am sorry for breaking your window! I've got enough money to repair it, if you just let me go home!" The angel stuttered out.

Magnus smugly went to his prized sword that was hanged up on the wall, then he raised it above his head, about to strike.

The angel started to beg and blubber on the floor but Magnus cut him short by sticking his sword into his heart. The smell of the metallic blood filled the room and would of made me faint if I was normal.

But I'm not, so I had to be awake to witness this.

Magnus reached into the man's body, and took out his soul, his pure, angel soul.

"Anyone hungry?" He asked, holding it out.

No, not after that. Couldn't he kill more cleanly? I guess it was in our house, so we didn't have to worry about the government going after us.

"I'll have it" Jeff eagerly said.

Jeff licked his lips and devoured it whole while Shard got a cloth and was trying, but failing, to clean up the blood.

I started to stare at the man below me. I didn't mind death, but what did he do? Wait, why did he fly in here? it looked like he was in a fight of some sorts. I kneeled down to inspect the angel better. I saw he had lots of scratches on his face and many more on his arms and body. His clothing was ripped and I saw a brown wallet falling out of his pocket. I grabbed it and started to walk back to my room. I took out his nightcreature profile card.

His name was Azohop Mionhive. He was Ice and Air, had no family, professional hunter. Hunters are people, usually nightcreatures, that hunted other nightcreatures down for money. I would of been appalled if I didn't already know how evil angels are on the inside. It's a good thing we killed him before he killed us, like other nightcreatures did with the rest of our family.
