"Good Morning class! Today we have a project that includes a road trip. I will pair you all into groups of fours and everyone will be assigned to a certain building." Mrs.Thompson said
"ugh" I mumbled.
I've always hated group projects since I was the "quiet kid" in class
"ok... Jayden, Lucas, Tiana, and.."
oh please don't be me.. I said in my head. please don't be paired with Jayden...
"Danielle. You will all be exploring a so called "haunted" building. Do not worry, it's safe i've been there before"
oh my god.

I still can't believe we have to do this.
"ow!" I said while everyone else looked like they felt the same feeling
"umm I just got like... a huge headache.."
"oh my god me too"
"same!"
"lets just start looking around it was probably a coincidence." I said
"whoaa this is so cool" I heard Jayden say aloud
"whatever lets just get this over with and go home." I said bluntly
"yeah I agree how about we go look around the place first?" Tiana requested
"ok-" my eyes widened
"you ok?"
"yeah i'm ok Lucas sorry i thought I felt something" I looked back on my arm to see a small red scratch that definitely wasn't there before.
"uhh ok this is getting a bit creepy lets do the project and go home." i'm pretty sure Jayden saw the scratch, he's usually excited for these things
at the hotel
me and Tiana are sharing a room while Jayden and Lucas are sharing the one next to us.
"be honest Danielle, what happened back there?"
"um what do you mean?" I ask genuinly confused.
"that scratch, that wasn't there before was it." Tiana looks serious, its weird.
"oh its nothing I just scratched myself on a table thats all."
"alright if you say so..." she still sounds like she doesn't believe me but oh well
"anyways it's almost midnight im gonna get some sleep, goodnight Tiana!"

Midnight
my hearts beating fast.. it feels like i just ran a marathon something feels off whats going on..
"Tiana.. TIANA.. wake up please"
"Danielle? whats going on are you okay?"
I squinted my eyes as a reflex.. I got that huge headache that I got earlier except its not going away.
"did you get that headache too?"
"yeah.."
"Theres someone at the door, I'll get it" my hearts still racing, I don't have a good feeling about this
"oh it's the boys."
I open the door just to see them look panicked
"Danielle DANIELLE HURRY UP OPEN THE DOOR PLEASE OPEN THE DOOR!" whats going on?
I open the door as quick as I can
Tiana sits up, "oh my god are you guys ok? what happened?"
I look outside but theres no one there
it sounds like they're still trying to catch their breath but they say
"someone knocked at the door I thought I heard Danielles voice but when I opened it, it was something I can't even explain"
"what do you mean?" I said "what did the person look like?" what does he mean by something he can't explain?.
"thats the thing.. it didn't look human I don't even think it was."
all of our eyes looked terrified taking slight glances at each other
I quickly slammed the door shut and locked it

BANG
BANG
"guys who is that.." Tiana asks while shes trembling in fear
"hold on.. let me che-" I was about to say until I got cut off
"no i'll check." Jayden said hesitantly
he slowly peaks through the peep hole to see a weird creature with long claws straching on the door.
"that.. that THATS THE CREATURE" he exclaimed
"what?" all of us turned to look at the door. it was trying to get in.
"hurry up and block the door!" I said while bringing the nightstand to the door.
"help me put the table in front!"
we all started trying to hold the door closed. whoever this is.. no, whatever this is, is insanely strong.
"how strong is this thing?" Lucas grunted
the creature starts piercing through the door, I don't think its gonna give up anytime soon.
"EVERYONE GET BACK" I yelled it already seems like the creature is gonna come in.
we all run back and it finally breaks in
everyone is shedding tears not knowing what to do
wake up..
Wake up.
"WAKE UP!" I yelled out trying to do something
I shut my eyes preparing for what happens next, and then, I woke up.
I guess it was all just a scary dream.
