CHAPTER 3

After a long way of arranging Gene's stuff, they finally succeeded in moving all of his things to his new room.

"I feel like we're parents after what we've done today"
Kyller giggled after saying it.

"And, don't even say sorry Gene, please"

He added so Gene won't feel guilty by how tiring it was. Gene then just shrugged and shook his head obeying the sunshine.

"I'm envious right now, why do you guys have a more spacious room than ours" Jason said in disappointment.

"So, basically it's just the two of you right here?" asked by Lornz.

"Yeah, are you all sharing the same room?" Jax asked.

"Yep... and we're okay with it, it's just that, ours is smaller compared to this room"

"We don't mind if you move though" Lornz jokingly said attacking his bro.

Everyone laughed including Gene, then suddenly, he caught a glimpse from Liam who was also laughing while catching his stares. He then immediately turned his vision on the ceiling to avoid the tension.

"Um...are you all hungry? I think we should go now" Gene spoke to change the subject.

"You know what? that's a good idea" Kyller seconded.

"Get up everyone! Let's go grab some food"

They began moving, doing some warm ups to energize a bit. While everyone was busy getting ready to go, Liam couldn't help but wonder where his jacket was. He then approached Gene who was preparing his stuff.

"Let's go guys!" Kyller announced.

All the four already went outside and only Gene and Liam are left inside the room. When Gene turned his back, he got startled when he faced Liam, it was a little awkward for him since Liam was looking at him like he was looking at a tall building.

"Damn! You're so tall" Liam suddenly stated.

"You're so handsome too" Gene answered in his mind. He doesn't know what to say so he just smiled awkwardly.

"Let's go now?" Gene said as the surroundings begin to feel heavy for him.

"Hmm?" suddenly, Liam offered his hand. Gene was so confused.

"What is he thinking?" He said to himself.

"Should I take your hand for a handshake?" Gene curiously asked him, Liam then chuckled a bit.

"My bag" he hinted.

"Oh! Yeah, sorry! I almost forgot"
Gene immediately got his bag and handed it to him.

"Let's go?" Liam said and they left.

While walking, Gene realized he doesn't know any places to eat aside from their cafeteria.

"By the way, where are the others?" Gene asked finally breaking the silence between them.

"Kyller texted me, he said they went first to book a reservation since restaurants are busy today"

"I see, thankfully. I'm not really familiar with this place. I was thinking where I should treat you"

"Don't worry, you can familiarize this place later on. After all, it's your first day right here. I was once like you when I moved here"
Liam shared to him as if they were already close.
