The models finally met their respective designers, and for Gene, he acknowledged the fact that he was hoping a bit to have his senior Liam as his model. When Liam was about to read the name of his designer, Gene was somehow hoping that the word that would come out of his mouth would be his name.

The next day...

"What's with your long face? Are you sad because you weren't picked?"

"Of course not!" Gene denied what Jax was trying to say.

"You sound so defensive."

"Jax, let me rest, for Pete's sake!"

Jax just laughed at him.

"Hey!" someone just approached them.

"Oh, hi!" Jax responded. He's finally looking at the guy of his previous gossip.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't able to formally introduce myself to you yesterday, something urgent came up, so I left early"

He explained. Jax and Gene looked at each other for a second, pushing each other to see who would respond.

"Are you guys okay?"

"Yeah!" Gene finally opened his mouth.
"You don't have to explain it, we both understand"

"Thank you! you are so sweet" the guy answered while focusing his eyes on Gene.

Jax interrupted them when he cleared his throat, it was as if he was bothered by the guy's gestures towards his best friend.

"I'm Jax" he introduced first and offered his hand. The guy then responded to his gesture.

"I'm Evander Sthorn, Evan for short. Nice to meet you" the guy finally said. When Jax let go of his hand, he then offered it to Gene.
"And you are?"

Gene was studying his body and his style. On his mind, he knew that this Evander can pull off anything, but he sees him more in corporate style. When his eyes met his face while talking to Jax, he felt like he had seen him before, he's just having a hard time remembering the exact scene.

"Hey!" Evan tried to call him, but he was not responding. So Jax hit him with his elbow.

"I'm sorry, senior, his hobby is preoccupation," Jax teased him, and Evan chuckled a bit.

"Sorry for that, I'm... Genelock Alderwood" he introduced himself. He then received Evan's hand.

"In case you didn't hear, I'm Evander or Evan. It's really nice to meet you" Evan reminded him, but his smile made the other guy curious. Jax was confused with how he treats Gene. To him, it seems like this guy anticipated Gene's presence for a long time; he's not sure if he's thinking right.

It took them half a minute to hold each other's hands. Gene wanted to let go, but when he tried, he actually felt how Evan's hand tightened to stop him, if that was really his reason. Jax felt the awkwardness, so he came to the rescue.

"Guys, are you playing tug of war?" He said in a fun way to distract them. Finally, Evan released Gene's hand.

"I'm sorry, I'm just excited to work with you" he defended, still looking straight at him.

"We're still students, senior, so don't expect a lot" Jax retorted.

"Still, I regard you as your future selves. Also, don't call me Senior, just say my name directly," he insinuated.
