Later after I had left Hermione in the library I saw Harry, Ron and Neville walking down a corridor. I started for them but saw Ron turn to Neville and said "She's gone mental, Hermione and Maddie have. I mean, not that Hermione wasn't always mental, but now it's out in the open for everyone to see..." he stopped as he saw Harry looking at him daring him to keep talking. He didn't.
I walked up behind them and said "Hey guys!" Harry turned to me, "Hey Maddie, are you ok?" I just let out a little laugh, Hermione and I had talked about what had happened and ended up just laughing about the whole thing, "Yeah I'm ok, it's in the past." I said waving it off.
"So you're good?" Ron asked. "Mhm," I nodded. "We were just heading to the quidditch pitch, want to come?" Harry asked. "Yeah sure!" I said excitedly. Neville left to go to Herbology and Harry and Ron led me to where people were already flying on brooms and tossing different sized balls back and forth.
As we walked out of the castle I caught Ron staring at me and Harry, "What?" I asked, "Nothing, I'm just still getting used to this whole twin thing," Harry and I just looked at each other and laughed. "Where's Hermione?" Harry asked, "The library." I told him.
The quidditch field was amazing, nothing like what we had back in America. The stadium was the size of a football field and the hoops were about 200 feet in the air. "This way Maddie," Harry and Ron walked me over to a boy who looked like he was very stressed and also very attractive. "Oliver!" Harry called over to him, "Yeah?" He asked, walking over to us, "This is my sister Maddie, she played Quidditch at her old school and from what I've heard is really good." Oliver just looked between the two of us, blinked and began talking, "Great, what position do you play?" He asked very fast.
It took me a moment to register what he said or that he was even talking to me until I answered, "I play seeker." I told him, "We already have a seeker," he motioned to Harry, "But we just lost a chaser, could you try that?" I nodded. "Great! Get dressed and get out there." Patted Harry's shoulder and walked past us.
"I don't have a broom." I turned to Harry, "That might be a problem..." Harry said leading me into the changing rooms, they were apparently co-ed here. Harry handed me all the quidditch padding I had to wear and started looking for a broom.
Ron started looking as well, I went around the corner to put all my stuff on. After a minute or two I heard Fred and George come in, "Malfoy and the Slyterins are out there," Fred sneered. "Oh great," Ron rolled his eyes. "Malfoy must have heard Maddie was playing. I've heard he's got a little thing for her. No wonder she said he was being nice to her." Ron whispered to Harry, "Probably another one of his ways to get to you." Harry didn't say anything.
I aggressively pulled on the last of my padding. I took a deep breath and walked out with a smile on my face. Fred, George, and Ron's attention went straight to me, to the tight padding around my legs and torso. I just ignored them and walked to Harry, who hadn't noticed them staring. He was still pulling on his own padding.
"Ready?" I asked, Harry turned, "Yep! Let's go." Harry handed me a broom that looked to be about 10 years old. We all walked out of the changing rooms together, annoyingly they had formed a defensive circle around me.
