Chapter 16: There goes the neighborhood

I wish I wasn't feeling guilty but I was. After yelling at Damon during the Bachelor auction and then finding out that my birth mother was alive but didn't want to talk to me, I couldn't help the feelings I was having. It was bringing back memories of the past and it was driving my mind crazy. I ditched school this morning because of it, I just didn't want to deal with Ms Gold, Stelena, Caroline, really everyone. Well, almost everyone.

I wanted to apologise to Damon. I did, semi-overreact to him knowing about my mother. I mean, I had a right to be pissed with him but I also didn't at the same time. He didn't know it was my mother at the time. So once Jenna left the house, I headed to the Salvatore's.

Once I get to the door, I open it to an empty hallway, which surprised me because I thought Damon would've heard me and waited for me to open the door. Maybe he actually was mad at me for last night.
'Damon?'
I don't get a response, instead I feel a breeze behind me. I roll my eyes
'Alright Damon, I'm sorry but could you blame me for-'

BANG

I groan as I slowly regain consciousness super confused about what was going on. Someone, well at least I hope it wasn't Damon hit me on the back of the head. I look up to see a women standing over me. After rubbing my eyes and sitting up I see that she is dressed in a suit and her black hair is pulled back into a tight bun.

'Hello Georgia' she says

'Pearl?' I ask as my brain begins to register the face

'It's a pleasure to see you again we're just waiting on Damon'

'Huh? I'm sorry, your waiting for Damon and you decide to knock me out'

'It was just a precaution so we could guarantee that you wouldn't try anything'

I look behind Pearl and roll my eyes

'Anna' I greet her rudely as she walks up next to her mother. Then, just as quickly as Anna had reached her mother's side they whipped their heads in the direction of the front door and two seconds later Damon appeared on the step

'Hello Damon' Pearl greets the Salvatore

'What is she doing here?' Damon asks as his eyes land on me

'She came here on her own it seemed like' Anna answers for me and I give her a look before reluctantly nodding

'Ever hear of knocking?' Damon asks in Pearls direction

'An invitation wasn't necessary. I'm surprised that no living person resides here. Is it just you and your brother?' Pearl asks

'Yeah? How do you keep out unwelcome vampires?' Anna adds

'He kills them' I say and Damon runs towards Pearl. He tries to strangle her but Pearl twists his wrist and pushes him onto the couch next to me.

'Have a sit Damon. I was hoping we could have a word' Pearl says

'Sure'

'Do we have much of a choice?' Damon and I say

'Now that the tomb is open we've managed to get a residence at a farmhouse just outside the town. It'll suffice for now' Pearl tells us

'All 25 vampires?' Damon asks

'Not all, some. I imagine that a few have already left town. Others are probably still in the woods or like us acclimating'

I look at Anna and Pearl with a confused look on my face.

'How did they get out of the tomb?' I ask

'I think the witches screwed up that part of the hocus pocus' Anna tells me and I clench my jaw in frustration that Grams really did die for nothing.
