Chapter 12: Unpleasantville

After Elena told me we were adopted I was really confused.
'What do you mean Elena?'
'That's the reason I look so much like Katherine, Stefan thinks-'
'Oh, your still trusting Stefan after he lied' I roll my eyes
'Georgia....if I can learn to accept and trust Damon then you can for Stefan, he explained everything to me' Elena says and as much as I wanted to question her Damon comment, (because we all knew she hated Damon) I didn't want to start that fight.

'So, what does Stefan think?'
'He thinks that Katherine must've had a child before she was turned, that would be the only explanation for me looking like her'
'What about me though I'm your twin?'
'Your my fraternal twin, we don't look alike' Elena says, clearly making this whole thing about her.
'Stefan also gave us some vervain. And, um, made this bracelet for Jeremy and a few spares for Caroline, Matt, Bonnie etc. You can put it in jewelry, or you can even put it in food or drink, but as long as it's in you or on you, a vampire cannot control you' Elena tells me and I nod my head slowly

'Why so much vervain all of a sudden?'
'Damon told him about the vampire that attacked you. So until we find out who it is and what he wants, Stefan said we have to be careful' Lena says
'Elena, I need the money!' we suddenly hear Jeremy announce from downstairs
'Huh?' I ask
'It's the pizza he ordered' Elena says before jumping up off my bed and heading downstairs.

The Salvatore Boarding House

Third Person POV

'What are you lookin' for, Damon?' Stefan asks his brother as he scrabbles through the endless books in the Salvatore library
'Not your concern' Damon replies simply
'No, but putting Georgia in harm's way, That is my concern'
'What are you talking about?'
'I'm talking about Atlanta' Stefan says knowing full well his brother was playing games with him
'Oh, yeah but since when did you care about Georgia'
'Elena cares about Georgia so, I do as well, she's my friend'
'Well we had a blast. Your girlfriend's sister is can be super fun' Damon says with slight annoyance as he continues to look through the books
'I get it. You're just bitter because one of us gets to be with the person that we love, and poor Katherine is just out of reach. Unless there's another way for you to get into that tomb. Is that what Bree said?'
'You're pathetic when you're fishing' Damon replies
'You're transparent when you're deflecting' Stefan claps back making his brother finally look at him.
'Don't you have school?' Damon snaps causing Stefan to chuckles before leaving his brother in peace.

Mystic Grill

Georgia's POV

'I can't believe you and Elena are adopted' Bonnie says
'I never saw that coming. And it gets weirder. I looked at my birth certificate. It lists Miranda and Grayson Gilbert as my birth parents. None of it makes any sense to me'
'Which is why you should ask Jenna'
'Yeah don't think that's happening' I say
'Come on Georgia. First of all, the Georgia I know would always want the real truth, good or bad'
'And second of all?' I ask
'Your sister's boyfriend is a vampire and his brother is super creepy, so unless your birth parents are aliens... How bad could it be?' she asks and I chuckle slightly
'Ah, ok, look, I have to go to the store. Elena said my outfit for the dance is severely lacking accessories' I groan
'Ok, I'll pay the bill'
'Ok. Bye'
'Bye' Bonnie says as I jump out and head out of the grill. I make my way over to my car but my phone goes off as I reach it.
'Hello?' I ask
'Hello, Georgia'
'Hey, who's this?' I ask, slightly confused
'You hit me with your car. Is that a new one?' he asks and I freeze. I was currently using Elena's car while mine was getting fixed.
'You got away from me. You won't next time' the man says and as I turn around I see him. I immediately jump into the car and start the engine. I needed to get out of there. I quickly drive away and as I look behind me I don't see him but who knows where he was. I don't know where to go, I couldn't go home, what if he was still following me. Then a name pops into my head.
Damon.
I knew Damon could help so I head straight for the Salvatore's house.
