Remus had been ecstatic that school was finally ending, so ecstatic that Remus and Izzie were on the platform an hour too early. But Izzie didn't mind, she could understand how he felt. Sirius and James couldn't come because of an assignment and Lily had her final exam, so the two of them were standing in an empty platform. Izzie sat down and leaned against the wall as Remus poured them some of James's hot chocolate.
"I can't believe you brought hot chocolate." Remus laughed.
"I knew – thank you." She smiled when he handed her a cup. "We were going to be here early, so I came prepared. I also have some sandwiches in there." She nudged her head to the bag. "Nervous?"
He shook his head. "No, not nervous. Excited! Happy to have him back, fully now. Happy to have the gang back together." He grinned.
"I already warned Sirius that you two won't leave the room for several days." She snickered.
"Oi, we're not that bad!"
"If it was me, I wouldn't leave the room." Remus raised his brows. "With Sirius, I mean." She laughed and playfully slapped his arm. "Besides you have taken time off work, so I'm guessing you won't let him go for the first few days."
"I would lock him in the room with me." He admitted. "But I know Reg wants to see you too."
"I can wait." She waved her hand a little. "But I will claim time with him later."
Remus reached over and traced the three small tattoos on the inside of her arm. A moon, a lily and a crown. He traced the tattoo that represents Regulus, the crown of a prince. "How does Sirius feel about the tattoos?"
"He thinks it's hot." She laughed.
"Of course, he does." Remus chuckled with an eyeroll. "Is he jealous?"
"He said he wasn't but -" She laughed again. "He's been dropping hints on getting a matching tattoo together." She leaned her head against Remus's shoulder as they laughed.
An hour later, like Izzie expected, Remus and Regulus were locked in their bedroom, the silencing charm still intact, thank Merlin!
July was a busy month with the upcoming wedding. Lily, her parents and James's parents were all busy with the last touches. It wasn't going to be a big wedding but still things had to come together. Lily wasn't far from becoming a bridezilla while James was as easy going and happy as always. When it became too much for Lily, Izzie dragged her away from planning and took her to the movies, or to the beach, anything to keep her mind of her upcoming wedding.
Reg and Remus were deliriously sappy and happy, but she could see the longing in Remus eyes when they came back from their fitting. She had whisked him away to the library where he cried in her arms. It was breaking her heart, because it just showed how much he loved Regulus and wanted to build a future with him.
"I can't believe they're getting married tomorrow." Sirius whispered as they laid on the rooftop, gazing at the stars. She lifted her head from his chest and looked up to him.
"I'm happy the wedding is tomorrow, because Lily is close to losing it." She chuckled.
"Well, that happens when you get engaged and married in seven months." He smiled, tugging at her hair. "When we get married, we'll take all the time we want. No stress, just fun."
"We can start with cake tasting." She bit her lip as her lips turned into a smile.
"When do you think that will be?" He asked, holding in a breath. His finger pulled her lip from between her teeth.
