The city's bustling streets had once been his kingdom, and the world, his playground.
Ezran Reynolds, a name that resonated with power and success, had always been in control. A shrewd businessman, his life had been defined by lucrative deals and calculated risks.
But now, as he sat in his opulent penthouse apartment, a prisoner in his own body, Ezran was consumed by the relentless grip of depression. It had been a year since the accident. An accident that had robbed him of his vitality, leaving him confined to a wheelchair. The days of commanding boardrooms, jet-setting across continents, and living life in the fast lane felt like distant memories.
His once-strong legs, now lifeless, dangled in front of him, a constant, painful reminder of his new reality. Ezran's fingers traced the edge of his leather-bound business journal, now gathering dust on the mahogany desk.
The room was silent except for the occasional car horns and distant sirens echoing through the city.
Ezran couldn't help but wonder if his silence mirrored the world's indifference to his plight.
He knew that no one could cure him.
He just wanted to die peacefully.
Third person POV
His grandfather, Jonah Reynolds knowing his grandson's declining willingness to live, had decided to arrange his marriage with Alyiah Mitchell.
He knew it was wrong and unethical to have made a contract forcing the girl to marry, but he was left with no choice. His grandson had to be treated and he knew only Dr. A could treat him.
No one knew of her identity except him and her parents.
He was aware of how her parents were doing this against her will and how little they cared about that brilliant girl.
He knew it was wrong of him to have done this to the poor girl but he had no choice.
His grandfather uttered, with regret in his tone. "I hope god forgives me for this sin I have committed and makes her the happiest with Ezran"
