Xeno had expected Professor Rodriguez's class to be boring as per usual, though something about today seemed different. The teacher seemed more enthusiastic than usual, that usually meant there was a pop quiz or something that would make the students pretty much miserable. He seemed to be invested in making students suffer much more in school, but of course he was one of the principal's favorites so he was never called out properly. The principal just brushed it off and said "he was doing his job" which in his opinion was a bunch of bullshit.
Professor Rodriguez started out by assigning students to their designated classmates for their next project, seemingly the Professor put him with his friends. He assigned him with both Ayana and Asia, yet he was still assigning more students into groups since this class was one of his biggest. He saw Chloe be put into another group and he let out a sigh with relief, he absolutely hates her guts and so did his friends. He could only pray that Alexander and Jacob were also put into another group. Though it seemed his prayers were answered as everyone he hated was assigned to a different group. He just let out another sigh while Asia looked at him weirdly before responding with, "What, are you becoming emo or something?" She remarked, but he just rolled his eyes.
"Of course not, it's just.. them." He declared, pointing at the three as Asia looked at them, her face turning into a scowl as she seemed to agree with him. Meanwhile Ayana looked bored with herself and prodded with her ring, she seemed uninterested and unengaged throughout this entire class. Usually she'd be the uplifted one, but he wasn't going to question it. Probably just a bad day and she didn't want to talk about it. Chatter was striving throughout the entire class and the Professor had already seemed irritated despite him looking enthusiastic just a second ago. Of course other students were curious about this new project since he never had any group projects, which of course brought up a lot of questions. But the Professor didn't seem to like that as he marched to the front of the classroom.
"Settle down!" He bellowed, the students immediately shutting up, everyone seemed quite afraid of him, especially being the principal's favorite. He could do just about anything and the principal wouldn't care, which he thought was pretty much special treatment. He was an ass. Though that didn't matter at that time since he was about to announce what this project was about, which everyone was curious about. Asia gave him a cautious look and motioned to Ayana, who was still quiet. He raised an eyebrow and decided once Professor Rodriguez was done speaking.
"Alright listen up!" Professor Rodriguez yelled out, making sure all the students were listening before continuing. "We will be starting a new project, now I've heard all you brats muttering about it." He commented on; Xeno's face forming into a frown. He really hates Professor Rodriguez. "Anyway, this project will be individually assigned to each of your designated groups. You guys will have no one to chest off this time because you all have different work for your groups. This is why you pay attention to class." He finalized, turning his gaze to Chloe whose face turned pink. Xeno held in a laugh at that. That was well deserved.
Though the teacher wasn't finished yet as he continued to speak. "I will be assigning your groups the work you need to complete. The assignment is due by next week and I expect you all to have your work." He announced, then made his way to the first group. They'd definitely be the last he'd talk to since they were at the far end of the classroom. Fun. He just sighed and turned back to Asia and Ayana. Ayana still had that bored look on her face when usually she'd be excited at the fact there was more work. She loved school, surprisingly. So of course he turned to Asia as they sat together and began talking about how they'd figure out what was wrong with Ayana. This was already becoming an unknown mystery to them.
