Saturday, Day 3
—————-Your eyes flicker open, the combat knife laying at your side.
You stiffen, remembering the fear that you had felt just hours ago.
You were in the shower still, and... what were you doing in the shower?
You could remember feeling the fear, the intense fear that you had felt as your heart raced and your mind spun, trying to make sense of it all.
...But it all felt... distant...
As if it were a dream...
Maybe it was...
Your head hurt and... and you were dizzy...
You stand slowly, picking up the combat knife and getting out of the shower. You make your way over to the bathroom door, and then stop...
...There was a note... on the floor...
Who could have put that there?
You bent down and picked up the note, staring at it as you tried to make sense of this new development.
What was going on?
It was just a phone number, with the words "Call Me" and a heart, written in red pen.
Huh...
Who would leave a note like that...?
You shoved the note into your pocket, wondering if it was important, wondering if you should call that number...
You decided to worry about it later.
Your mind was fuzzy, and your head was hurting, you needed to catch up on some work today..
You placed Simon's combat knife back where it should be, and then quietly left the bedroom, rubbing one of your temples with a wince as you descended the stairs into the living room.
It all felt normal here.
The back door was closed, the chairs in their normal positions, facing away from the house..
If it wasn't for that note in your pocket, you might have forgotten about last night completely...
Was it all a dream?
Or... was it real?
You grumbled to yourself, and then started to fish around in some of the kitchen drawers.
Migraine pills... Where were those damn migraine pills...?
The pounding in your head was starting to become more intense, and that made the whole situation that much more confusing. You needed those goddamn migraine pills...
Why couldn't you find them? Where the hell were they...?
You finally found the pills, up in a cabinet.
Funny, you didn't think that was where you usually kept them...
You grabbed the pill bottle, read the dosage and then popped two of them into your mouth with a swig of water.
