Ch. 8

                                          Neko POV 

Laito is now hugging me like I'm some sort of plushie, Our cheeks pressed together, My hands are pressed against his chest. 

"You are just so cute!" He says 

"Hey! Who said you could hug my sister!" Kou yells, Kou pulls me out of his bone crushing hug, 

"Aww but I wanted to hug her some more..." Laito says as he frowns, 

"What is the commotion?" We hear 

I turn around to see a boy with glasses, he adjusts them with his fingers, 

I see another boy holding a teddy bear, and another one that looks similar to Laito, 

"We were just leaving," Kou says picking me up, 

He walks past them I look over Kou's shoulder,

Laito waving at me clearly amused at Kou's reaction, 

"You need to stay away from them," Kou says 

"How come?" I asked looking at him confused 

He stopped walking Setting me on the ground, 

Kneeling in front of me, 

"Because they are dangerous," He says 

"But they are vampires just like you," I say tiling my head 

"Yes, but they are very dangerous because they are pure bloods." He say 

"Pure bloods?" I asked 

"Meaning they were born vampires sugar cube." Yuma says 

"You weren't born vampires?" I asked confused tilting my head 

"No... we...were...bitten." Azusa says 

"You were?" I say in shock

"Yes we were." Kou says with a smile we were walking out of the school when a smell caught my nose, 

I know that smell! it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, 

I stopped walking, looking around scared out of my mind. 

"Neko?" Ruki says 

I feel my heart rate speed up, I see the man I never wanted to see, He was standing across the street, smirking with his arms crossed, I was frozen in place, I feel myself getting hot all over. 

Oh no I'm gonna, and suddenly  feel it I transformed into a kitten, 

All the boys looked at me in shock, and I took off running, 

"Wait! Neko!" Kou yelled I looked back at him then at the man and ran as fast as I could with my four legs, 

                                            Kou POV 

I went to run after her but Ruki stops me, 

"We need to go after her!" I say 

"Look," He says we see a tall man with Dark hair and a three lined scar on his left eye the scar starts at his eyebrow and ends at his cheek line, 

"Isn't that one of the men that were chasing her the night we found her?" Yuma says 

I nodded 

"Lets go," Ruki says 

Thankfully when she transformed there wasn't anyone around to witness it, 

We all run after the man, Neko takes a back alley that had a tall chain link fence, Her kitten was adorable a all white kitten, which matches her tail and ears when she's in her human form, Her eyes bright one eye blue and the other purple, She climbs the fence landing on the other side running off into the night, 

The man tries to climb the fence only to be pulled off by Yuma and thrown against the brick wall, 

"What the hell-" The man began to yell but freezes when he sees us, 

"You again!" He yells

"I think that's our line," I say

"What do you want with her?" Ruki asked in a menacing way 

The man glared at him clearly not going to spill, 

"Kou," He says 

I nodded kneeling in front of the man, My eyes glowing at him, 

"We want to extract the power from her then dispose her for the monster she is, when we caught her, we couldn't get her to expel any power but after much research we learned her kind holds much power.' The man says in almost a hypnotic tone, 

"You do realize some of her kind don't even show power until they reach a certain age." Ruki says 

"Why do you need her power?" Yuma says 

"To destroy beasts like you." The man says 

I glared at him but before I could do anything Yuma charged him snapping his neck, 

We arrive back at the mansion, But Neko wasn't anywhere to be found I paced back and forth, 

"Where could she be?" I say 

"She could be outside yet." Yuma says 

"Or....Hiding..." Azusa says 

"But it-" I began but we hear a noise up stairs and we all ran up to my room, But we didn't see anything, 

"The noise came from this room didn't it?" Yuma says 

We all nod 

"Search the room," Ruki says 

I look under the bed, While Yuma checks the bathroom, Ruki and Azusa checks the cabinets, 

I pull the blankets from the edge of the bed, and look under the bed and there she is a little ball of white fur, huddled up against the wall, she was filthy, covered in dirt and mud, 

'Found her!" I say 

"Neko, come here," I say with a smile 

She looked at me and meowed but didn't show any signs of moving, I look back at my brothers with concern,
