Chapter 5 : Unexpectation

IRIS

After that night, There was no signal of Luke. I texted him, I called him, there was no answer, I was getting worried sick so I decided to call Candice.
(Candice is Luke's manager and his very close friend, they hangout often and goes everywhere together when it comes to they're work).

*Iris called Candice but she also didn't pick up her calls*

"What is wrong with everyone? Is his some kind of joke?" - Iris shouted of frustration. She sat on her bed and starting thinking about other ways to communicate with Luke.

At that time, the door of Iris's bedroom opens and a lot of balloons and confettis burged into the room including Luke with a chocolate cake covered with strawberries on his hands holding a bouquet of red roses wrapped in brown paper. "Happy birthday, my love". - Luke said as he walked towards Iris with a joyful look on his face. Iris was too stunned to speak, it all made sense now, why he didn't pick up my calls or texted me back. "You forgot your own birthday again, I had to do something as your boyfriend, right?". - Luke said in a soft tone as if he was about to get emotional. "You- you did it all... because of my birthday?" - Iris asked. "Yes, I can't just sit and chill like it's nothing, it's your day, it's OUR day!" - Luke exclaimed. Iris's eyes were getting filled with tears, tears started running down from her cheeks.

Luke put the cake and the bouquet of roses on the near by table, he ran towards Iris and hugged her gently. "Why are you crying, Ris?" - Luke asked as he wiped her tears from her cheeks.
"Thank you, Luke. Thank you for everything. I'm very glad to have you in my life" - Iris spoke in an sad but happy tone. "I love you, Ris. I would gladly do anything if it means making you happy, MY GIRL happy" - He says.

Then Luke lit some candles and let Iris cut the cake, they spend some quality time together watching their favourite show. After a while, Luke left the room to get something from his car. Iris thought of going downstairs instead of sitting on her bedroom, as she sat on the living room's couch she saw an unfamiliar hankerchief. There was an initial of someones name, there was a small 'K' stitched on the right side of the corner of that hankerchief. Iris knew exactly who's it was. It was Kevin's hankerchief. He went there last night. She took the hankerchief and put it on her closet. "Ris, where are you?" - Luke shouted in a worried tone. "Here, behind your back" - Iris replied, giggling as she hugged Luke. Luke kissed her forehead and wrapped his arms around her.

"Here, this is your birthday present" - Luke said as he her a huge box. Iris opened the box and saw a beautiful blue dress, it's her favourite colour. Iris saw a note attached to it too, she picked it up and read the note, the note says "Will you save a date for me at the masquerade ball tonight, love?". "Yes, yes I will" - Iris spoke as she looked up at Luke with joy. "I know you would" - Luke said confidently as she hugged Iris from behind.
