Help arrived exactly one minute after Cynaline called. Two nurses came through the elevator, hauling a cart of supplies. They knelt down beside Dorothy, and applied a damp cloth on her forehead.
One of the nurses, a man, looked up at me. "Do they have a history with seizures?"
"Not that I know of," I said.
The woman across from him grazed Dorothy's ears and arms with her gloved hands.
"Are they Gaeaborne?" she asked me.
"What's that?"
"Were they sent to Dualgaea as a newborn?"
"Oh... no."
"We're going to take them to the infirmary and do some further tests. You can visit in about an hour. And we'll get someone in to fix your window."
"Thank you, nurse," Cynaline said.
The woman took a remote from her pocket. A teleporter. She placed it on Dorothy's stomach, and all three of them and the cart vanished.
Jamie hurried off of his bed and held my arm.
"Is she okay?" he worried. "I was listening to music."
"She's fine," I said.
"What was up with the window? Is it just a giant screen?"
"Yeah," Cynaline shivered."I never saw one in person. And I never want to again. We need to get the Incarnate and never come back."
Knowing the window wasn't real was claustrophobic enough, but it glitching out enough to give someone a seizure made me avert my gaze no matter what.
I reached in my pocket and found that note Ganè gave me.
"The host gave me a number to call." I handed it to Cynaline.
Cynaline read it carefully, back to front. "It has a room number, too. Maybe we can go find him."
"You don't want to call instead?"
"I'd rather talk to them face to face."
Mobi walked out of the bathroom. "I have to go home now. Call me when Dorothy wakes up."
"Alright, see ya." Cynaline waved.
He pulled his teleporter from his pocket and pressed a button. As he said goodbye, a glowing blue mesh covered him, and suddenly, he vanished. I thought I was getting used to the teleportation stuff, but it surprised me everytime. Why would anyone walk anywhere if they could just teleport there? That would be perfect for school.
