You breathed a sigh of relief. "That was it?" you asked.

"What do you mean, 'that was it'? That is only the most closely guarded secret of my life, one I thought I'd never have to confess again! From the moment you hitted your head, all I could think about was the dread of having to admit it angin! The anxiety of having to tell you again was all-consuming– I lost sleep over it, I could barely bring myself to eat, I could hardly make eye contact with you without the fear of the inevitable practically devouring me alive!"

"Ok that's very dramatic," you said, "but I thought you were about to tell me you killed someone."

"HOE YOU WATCHED ME KILL SOMEONE LITERALLY LIKE AN HOUR AGO–"

"That's enough of you, babygirl," Scar growled dominantly at Frollo.

The imposing judge, Claude "Babygirl" Frollo, could only cover his blushing cheeks with one hand and use the other to nervously fidget with the hem of his kawaii blue miniskirt.

"You're fine," you said, giving him a quick supportive kiss on the forehead.

He blushed deeper and asked, "Wha-? R- really?"

"This is a safe space. You can be yourself here, even if being yourself means being a cute omega furry bottom." You meant every word you said; you wanted Frollo to feel appreciated no matter what.

Scar wrapped his arms around Frollo's waist protectively, took the hand that Frollo was using to cover his face, and softly kissed the back of it. Frollo still couldn't bring himself to make eye contact with either you or Scar, but he had a sweet smile on his face that wasn't there before. The corners of his weird bug-like eyes turned up a little, so expressive was he in his happiness.

Frollo sighed, content to be in the arms of two of his dear partners. He let you and Scar hold him close, show him unparalleled kindness, and shower him in your affection.

Once he was stable enough to speak, Frollo said, "I'm so lucky to have the two of you. Aside from you, Facilier, and Shan Yu, I don't know if there's anyone else on this planet who understands me." A single tear sparkled to life in the corner of his eye before sliding down his cheek, slipping off the bottom of his jaw, and disappearing into the night.

"Oh, Frollo," Scar murmured. "There's a whole world's worth of furries out there who know just how you feel. Believe me, I'm all too familiar with their ways. You're not alone in this, my love."

Scar traced over the still-wet tear track on Frollo's cheek with one finger. He then leaned in to kiss along it before coming back to meet his lips. This time, their kiss was more sweet than sensual. You knew this was a bonding moment between the two of them, and yet you still wanted in.

After Scar moved back to take a breath, you closed in on the very place he'd left off. Frollo leaned into your kiss, too– it wasn't as if he wanted air, anyway. Not when he was so much happier to breathe you in.

This kiss felt even sweeter than the second-first you two had exchanged earlier that evening. You weren't sure how that was even possible, but it was. Where the first was a re-introduction to Frollo as a partner, this one was the mark of unashamed acceptance for everything he was– as both a partner and a person alike.

Too, it signified an embrace of the complexity of your relationships with Frollo, Scar, and by extension, the harem as a whole. You could kiss them both, and it was fine. They could kiss each other, and it was fine. Your love was free-flowing yet pure, ever-changing yet constant.

Despite all the ways things had changed, you still felt completely secure. What could possibly get to you, when you had so many reliable lovers on whom you could lean?

For a brief moment, under the stars, lost in the loving eyes of your darlings, you came unstuck in time. Nothing about this felt new, yet it was. How could this be? What psychological malfunctions had your accident triggered?

You pushed your worries to the back of your mind. You could stress over all this any other time you liked, but you would only live through this moment, this overwhelming revival of a dead, buried memory, once more.

For you, for Frollo, and for Scar, it felt as though the world had entirely stopped turning.
