It was the middle of football season, and Bob and Matt were really getting into it.

" ugh, this is the 3rd time today, i've had to refill this bucket of Nachos and Cheese for Bob" groaned Jackie. " you're lucky, i'm pretty sure if Matt eats another 5 gallon bucket of soft pretzels, he's gonna turn into one" laughed Inez. " now Bob only has 2 middle shelf beers, what about Matt?" Asked Jackie. " that's what this plastic popcorn bucket is. He's had me refill it twice today. He's gonna be  passed out drunk ,and full of soft pretzels by the end of the game" groaned Inez. " that's the price we pay for football season" frowned Jackie.

Finally the game was almost over. Bob was only slightly intoxicated, but Matt definitely wasn't sober.

" hey, here's the $50 i owe you" smiled Bob. Matt tried to get up, but was
" stuck". " put it in my pocket, and hand me the remote" mumbled Matt.
Bob did what he was told, and walked into the kitchen. " game over finally?" Asked Jackie. " yup, and i'm a little drunk, so you're driving" smiled Bob.

" i better check on the armchair quaterback" laughed Inez. " ok, i gotta get home anyways" smiled Jackie.
Inez checked on Matt. He had got frustrated with the remote, and wound up throwing it across the room, more than likely trying to find the post game. After throwing the remote, he had finally just passed out in his chair.

Inez rolled her eyes and attempted to get any type of reaction out of what was supposed to be her husband. She grabbed a mop handle and started poking. Matt mumbled something and resumed snoring.

" one of these days i'm gonna hide that remote, or take out the batteries" groaned Inez.  Eventually Matt started moving around. " i was wondering if you had become part of the chair" laughed Inez. " everything hurts. All i remember is the score at the 3rd quarter" said Matt. " your team lost, and that's because you had 2 tubs of beer in your system. One of these days you're gonna have a heart attack or stroke" warned Inez.
" nah, nobody in my family has had either one. We usually meet our death via bizzare accident due to bad luck or stupidity" argued Matt. " well, you could still be the 1st to experience either one, and others in your family probably had heart attacks and strokes, but didn't die as a result" said Inez. " nope, nobody i'd heard of has experienced either one" said Matt.

" well, it's time for the preschool family night, and you're going, hung over or not" said Inez. " my head hurts" whined Matt. " well, take a headache pill, and get ready" suggested Inez. " is this one of those things i need to wear a tie for?" Asked Matt. " yes, and i laid out a shirt, suit pants and a tie" replied Inez. " what about my suit jacket?" Asked Matt. " it's hanging on the closet door" replied Inez.  Matt got everything on, then realized Inez didn't pull out a belt. He finally found the belt that went with the pants, and went downstaires.  " can i wear my regular hat?" Asked Matt. " no, you can try combing your hair though" replied Inez.  " but it's starting to thin out, and  i don't wanna look like i'm starting to go bald infront of the kids. Besides they're very cruel to the adults that look old" argued Matt. " well, they're only kids, and i think you still look handsome" smiled Inez. " will you still be saying that when i only have a few small clumps left?" Asked Matt. " no, but looks fade, and i love most of the other stuff to" replied Inez.

" well, then i guess i can't complain. I know you'll love me reguardless how bald i get" smiled Matt. " i'll grab Ernest and Leroy. Junior should be ready" said Inez. " let's go Junior!" Yelled Matt. A few minutes later everybody was in the car. " are we picking up Jackie and Bob?" Asked Matt. " no, they'll meet us there" replied Inez. " ok, i hope this doesn't go long, i'm feeling a bit weird" said Matt. " i warned you about drinking that much beer in a 5 hr timeframe" frowned Inez. " no, it feels like something else is going on" said Matt. " well, let me know if anything else starts happening" said Inez. Junior noticed his mother seemed a little worried. Soon they got to the preschool. " hey, there's Jackie and Bob" said Inez. Jackie and Bob walked over with Laura and Franklin.
" i'm excited to see what the kids made" smiled Jackie. " yeah, we both have very creative kids" agreed Inez.
" my shoulders and arms suddenly hurt and are tingling" said Matt. " hmm, maybe we should get you inside. I hope you're not getting sick" frowned Inez. " i'm sure i'll be ok once i sit down for a bit" smiled Matt.
Jackie noticed the concerned expression on Inez's face.

Soon they were inside. " are  you sure you're ok?" Asked Inez. " i think so, let's go see what the kids made" replied Matt. Inez decided to stick close. Something wasn't right, and she wanted to be right there if her hunch was correct.

" nice Macaroni art, Junior" smiled Inez. " yeah, i think it's pretty good. Who knew my son was this creative" agreed Matt. " i also made this cabin out of a box, and some sticks" smiled Junior. " i remember this one, we spent an hour looking for sticks" smiled Matt. " is this a family picture?" Asked Inez. Yeah, here's you , daddy, Ernest, Leroy, and Me" smiled Junior. " it looks pretty good" smiled Inez. Jackie walked over after looking at Laura's stuff. " i'm so proud of Laura. She's pretty good with paint". " yeah, i've seen some of her pictures, she takes after you" smiled Inez. " Junior's not a bad artist either, i see his log cabin project" smiled Jackie. " yeah, Matt helped him get the sticks for it" replied Inez. " yup, we even had extra sticks" smiled Matt. " Laura made a cabin to, but she didn't use sticks. She actually just used strips of brown construction paper on the sides and roof" smiled Bob. " i saw that walking in. Very nice and even" agreed Matt.

" i showed her a trick to make it straight" smiled Bob. " i'd like to know that. Seriously, i never could cut those papers straight" said Matt.
" i'd be happy to. The trick is lining it up against something straight, and can't be moved easy" smiled Bob. " oh, that makes sense. I should've used a heavy book instead of a ruler" agreed Matt.

5 minutes later something would happen to change the tone of the evening.

The kids were singing " the bumblebee song" and the parents were standing up. Matt started feeling tightness in his chest, and it was getting worse. " Inez, i don't feel good, and i think i'm going to faint" whispered Matt. " what are the symptoms?" Asked Inez. Before Matt could say, he collapsed onto the floor.
