The room was dark when Jungkook's eyes fluttered open and by the neon numbers on the wall clock, he knew it was way too early to be awake considering the time they went to bed. Confused and unsure about what woke him up, he settled back onto the sheets and was just about to fall back into sleep when he heard it.

A frightened whimper.

Jungkook shifted his head to the side where Jimin seemed to be propped up on an elbow, shoving his blanket aside.

"Baby? What happened?" Jungkook asked, voice hoarse with sleep.

"It's there," Jimin murmured, shoving aside the blanket and shaking it as though searching for something.

"What is?" Jungkook asked, confused.

Jimin mumbled out something in response that Jungkook couldn't quite catch.

"Baby?" Jungkook called, rubbing Jimin's back soothingly, "come here. Sleep, baby. It's too early to be awake."

Jimin mumbled something else and settled back onto the sheets, light snores escaping him. Jungkook's brows furrowed, perplexed by the odd behaviour.

Had Jimin been talking in his sleep right then?

He'd never mentioned it to Jungkook before.

"He does that a lot," came a response from the doorway, startling Jungkook.

"Hobi-hyung?" Jungkook whispered, "you almost scared the shit outta me."

"Sorry," Hoseok chuckled, not sounding the least bit sorry, "I heard him mumbling when I came for a glass of water."

"He does this often?"

"Yeah."

"I didn't know. He never said anything about it."

"He didn't tell me anything either. I've roomed with him plenty of times so you know...just happened to find out."

Jungkook nodded.

"Anyways, go back to bed. It's nothing to worry about, I'm sure."

"Night, hyung."
