Third Person POV

Ruben Dias and his girlfriend Y/n were dressed to the nines(dressed to the nines mean like dressed to perfection), ready to attend the Ballon D'or Ceremony. Ruben, being the protective and caring boyfriend that he was, had his eyes firmly fixed on Y/n the whole night, she looked beautiful in his eyes, she always did.
As they arrived at the venue, Y/n couldn't help but notice a certain player who seemed to have his gaze locked on her. Every time she looked in his direction, she found his eyes boring into her like a laser. It made her feel uneasy, uncertain about the player's intentions.
Ruben, ever so perceptive, picked up on the intense stares directed at Y/n. It ignited a fire within him, a mix of jealousy and protectiveness. Throughout the evening, Ruben's attention was divided between enjoying the ceremony and keeping a watchful eye on the player who couldn't seem to take his eyes off Y/n.
Y/n, feeling the tension radiating from Ruben, couldn't help but ask what was bothering him. With a calm smile, Ruben replied, "I don't like how he's staring at you, querido. It just doesn't sit right with me."(sweetheart) Y/n was surprised by Ruben's honesty, but she couldn't help but find his protectiveness endearing.
Giggling softly, she placed a reassuring hand on Ruben's arm and said, "Oh, Ruben, you have nothing to worry about. You will always be the only man on my mind." She leaned in closer, her lips grazing his cheek, as if to emphasize her point. Ruben's tension eased slightly, a smile forming on his face.
The night progressed, with Y/n and Ruben engrossed in the celebrations and surrounded by the dazzling accomplishments of the football world. However, every time the player who had been staring at Y/n for the entire evening approached them, Ruben's protective instincts flared once again.
Ruben would subtly intertwined his fingers with Y/n's, possessively asserting his presence. He would lean in closer during conversations, ensuring that Y/n's attention never wavered. His actions spoke volumes, showing the player that Y/n was his and his alone.
Their friends, who had noticed Ruben's protective nature throughout the evening, pulled him aside during a brief intermission. They teasingly asked if he was afraid of a little competition. Ruben laughed heartily but couldn't deny the twinge of possessiveness he felt.
Ruben's protective instincts flared once more, but Y/n, sensing his unease, gently squeezed his hand and whispered, "Relax, Ruben. It's just a conversation." She released his hand and turned to the player, engaging in polite small talk.
Ruben couldn't help but keep a watchful eye from a distance, his heart swelling with love and pride for the woman by his side. Eventually, the player excused himself, and Y/n returned to Ruben, a mischievous glint in her eyes.
"You worry too much, Ruben," she said playfully. "You know, no matter who stares or talks to me, it will always be you that has my heart."
Ruben's anxiety melted away, replaced by pure adoration for the woman he loved. He pulled Y/n into a tight embrace, declaring in a whisper, "And you, princesa, will always be the one who has mine." (princess)
As the night slowly began to come to the end, Ruben was no longer filled with his jealousy from earlier, but still he was protective watching out for her, as the left the ceremony. "I love you Ruben" Y/n said giving him a kiss on his cheek. "I love you more princesa" (princess) he said before kissing her lips, which ends up getting some of her lipstick (or lipgloss) on his lips, which made Y/n smiled at it before laughing a bit "What?" Ruben asked since she started laughing at her "Nothing" Y/n said smiling..
