that the police could run. what do you say winter?" I mull it over in my head and finally decide "yea we can do that. it will just be you right?" "of course, we want you to feel safe here so if you start feeling overwhelmed just tell me and we stop everything" I nod and ask when she'll do it "in just a
few moments let me go get what I need and ill be right back "
it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be I just closed my eyes went somewhere else and thought about ryder. I wonder if he's still here if he's really going to come back. why am I so obsessed with this stranger? could he really be the guy from my dreams?
I look up at the clock on the wall and see that its been hours since the Dr. was here. hmm I must've
fallen asleep. I hear something that sounds like snoring. looking over i see ryder asleep in the chair next to me and can't help but smile. theres something about him that calms me and makes me feel safe
I just cant trust that yet. But I also don't want to be alone anymore.
"you came back" I say louder than I meant to. he jerks awake which makes me jump "im sorry, I didn't mean to wake you" I tell him softly "its ok, I'm glad you did. I've been waiting for you to
wake up" I look at him confused as to why he'd want me to be awake. he doesn't know me. why would he care? we just look at each other for a moment before he starts talking again
"so I wanted to ask you something,well the Dr says you'll be able to get out of here in the next couple of days, since youre doing so well and I thought that if you didn't have anywhere to go you could come stay with me". he says in a hurried nervous voice "I have a small built on apartment so
you would have as much privacy as you need but id be close if you needed something" He adds quickly. what? he wants me to come with him? this has to be a trick, but look at his eyes they seem so sincere "why would you do that? you don't even know me" I say skeptically.
He considers my question for a moment and finally answers "I don't know you, but I want to. I have this strong urge to protect you. I NEED you to be ok and the only way I'll know for sure is if it's me taking care of you" he lets out a slow breath like hes trying to calm himself. "I know it doesn't make sense because we're total strangers, but somehow it just feels right! do you understand what I mean?"
I do know what he means but still I don't get why he wants this. why he would want a stranger in his house unless he was up to no good? WHAT DOES HE WANT FOM ME? I just want somewhere I
can feel safe. could he give that to me?
"I don't expect anything from you. just for you to get better and feel safe. I don't think you've felt that in a long time and I'd love to give that to you" as if he read my mind he answered my questions
"look, I know you don't know me and theres a lot you don't understand right now , but please just give me the chance to show you that there are people you can trust" I just stare at his pretty face for awhile and finally say "ok" he gave me the brightest smile that made me want to melt and I just felt it in my gut this was the right choice to make.
