*Niall's P.O.V.*

It's been an hour since we first arrived at the fair. Emily and I have rode just about every ride, and we even played a few arcade games. It was beginning to get dark, and all of the color lights of the rides lit up the sky. Emily ran ahead of me and I tried to catch up, having no clue where she was running to now.

"Niall!" She screeched turning around stopping. Her grin was plastered on her face.

"What, Em?" I question, wanting to know what she was going to tell me.

"They have funnel cakes!" Her eyes seemed to light up more than ever. I smiled and began laughing. I got in line and she followed.

"What's so funny?" She pouts, trying to hide her smile, crossing her arms over her chest.

"Your American words" I laugh a little more, "here we call it fried dough."

"Well that's an original name" Emily rolls her eyes. I chuckle.

"Yea! Have you ever tried one?" I look over to her.

She ponders a moment, "I had when I was 7. I haven't been to any fair since." Her eyes meet mine.

We were next in line. I ordered the largest size there was and asked for extra powdered sugar and a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. I paid for the order and we moved to the next window where we would pick up or delicious treat.

Once made, we took our "funnel cake" and walked towards the end of the pier. Emily sat down and stuck her legs out of the fence of the pier and I did the same. It was quiet for a while. Not an uncomfortable silence, but a peaceful one. The only sound being the crashing waves, and breaking of the fried dough. I focused my gaze on Emily's face as she looked out along the beautiful sunset on the ocean's horizon. I advert my gaze to the site she was looking at.

"Niall?" I hear Emily whisper. I meet her eyes nodding for her to continue. "Than-thanks for everything." She blushes and looks down. I brush my powdered sugar covered hands off and put my finger under her chin to lift her head back up.

"I would do anything for you. There is no need to thank me." I said with all seriousness. She half smiled.

"I still am going to thank you. This weekend has really meant a lot to me, Niall. Nobody has ever done any of this for me. I just want you to know, you mean a lot to me, and I care about you a lot." She looked up to me.

"I care about you too" I said leaning in.

Our lips connected and it felt like fire. It was a slow kiss, but that was fine with me. I caressed her cheek with my thumb and rested my forehead on hers, and she bit her lip, closing her eyes. She was beautiful.

She scooted closer to me, and I wrapped my arm around her as she rested her head on my shoulder. We sat there, staring at the waves crashing below. I smiled to myself realizing I can call Emily mine.
