In June 2013, a trademark was registered for the name "SunJ Entertainment". On the 10th of June, Sun Entertainment announced a Japanese Branch of the label and the creation of a survival show in Japan to train and debut idols specifically for the Japanese Market but also the Korean one. (A bit like JYP's NiziU project FYI)
In July 2013, this show aired on Korean and Japanese TV for the first time. The first episode premiered on July 27th 2013 and the final episode aired on September 7th 2013.
~☆———————————–—––☆~Headed by COO (Chairman Of Operations) Rina Hachima, the company played an important role for training Japanese trainees before sending them to join a debut team in Korea. These programs were run by the main recruitment team in Korea but were regionally managed by natives. (E.G Korean recruiters managed Korean trainees, Japanese recruiters managed Japanese Trainees etc). The programs still run to this day (18.11.2023) and have been vital in finding talent outside of Korea.
~☆———————————–—––☆~Groups:
• Vamoyage
• Eclipse
• ACIES
• LA ROUGE
• G.O.A.T
~☆———————————–—––☆~The five groups under SUNJ Entertainment are all made of Japanese trainees. The group's promote like a J-Pop group, release their songs in Japanese and mainly focus on Japan as their main target audience.
G.O.A.T is slightly different as the group is Co - Managed by SunJ Entertainment and WAKEONE. The group consists of Thai, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese and Filipino members who promote mainly in Korea, Japan, Thailand and The Philippines. Their name stands for "Girls Of Asia Trust" and the lineup is a graduating system.
