Breath in. "Weather breathing: seventh form..."
Breath out. "Sonic rainboom!"
The ground cracked under Dash's strong footing, hand tightly gripping onto her katana's tsuba. She pushed herself forwards, towards the corpse, with incredible speed. The sound barrier seemed to weaken under the pressure of her quickness. A bright, beautiful rainbow appears behind her as she moves.
She unsheathes her katana and tilts it to cut the corpse diagonally. The second her sword makes contact with the corpse a loud bang is heard, a circular rainbow surrounds her, spreading out to the sides. A pulchritudinous, but deadly rainbow explosion, bewitching to the eyes.
Dash sheaths her katana. 'Huh, I may have overdone it a little,' she thinks to herself whilst shrugging her shoulders to loosen up the tension she felt. She turns to face the rest of her comrades. Dash feels her ego boost when she spots Tanjiro and Inosuke staring at her wide eyed and speechless. Pinkie is clapping and cheering.
After a moment, Inosuke huffs, turns to face Tanjiro, picks him up, and throws him, at what is presumably, the direction the demon with strings is. "Oh wow, Tanjiro looks like he's flying! How fun! Me next!" I think we all know who said that, so do I really have to clarify? It was Pinkie. Who else?
"What the hay!?! Why would you do that!?!?" Dash stares at Inosuke, agape. "He'll get there a lot faster now," Inosuke responds, proud of himself for shocking her. With a grunt, Dash is off, speeding into the direction Tanjiro was flung too.
Her legs pick up speed, leaving Inosuke and Pinkie much to catch up to. Dash pushes through the vast amount of bushes and branches until she comes to a halt. She stays hidden behind some trees, going unnoticed by the snow white demon in front of her. Dash may be brash at times, but she isn't foolish enough to interfere in Tanjiro's attack.
Mesmerized, she watches Tanjiro switch forms mid-strike, preforming the fifth form of water breathing. Dash observers the white demon, watching her face contort into one of comfort and peace. "How strange..." Dash contemplates. "It's seems as if she wanted Tanjiro to kill her, free her of her misery..."
Silently, Dash walks towards Tanjiro. She puts her hand on his shoulder as a sign that she was there. Tanjiro looked startled at Dash's sudden appearance, but quickly calmed down. They both continued to watch the demon disintegrate, Tanjiro with a look of pity and kindness in his eyes, and Rainbow Dash with an expression devoid of any visible emotion.
"The twelve kizuki are here... So beware!"
Dash's eyes widened, her hands moved to grip the hilt of her katana. She remembered full well a conversation she had with Hana on the days she was being trained. About the twelve kizuki. This could be her chance to challenge her own swordsmanship and test the limits of her abilities. Or this could be the cause of her death.
She shook the negative thoughts out her head, refusing to let them get the best of her. "Dash!" She snapped out of her thoughts. Dash turned to face Tanjiro, placing a hand on her hip and tilting her head to the side. "Where are Pinkie and Inosuke?"
Dash pointed in the direction she came from. "They should be on there way here. They're probably close by now." Tanjiro nodded. Both of them ran in the direction in which Dash came from. Not even a minute had passed when Dash saw familiar pink hair. "Well you two sure took your time coming here." She crossed her arms.
Pinkie just giggled. "Well it's quite difficult to keep up with speed herself!" Pinkie let her gaze fall upon Tanjiro's grief-stricken face. Guilt taking over his features. She followed the direction of Tanjiro's eyes to see he was looking at Inosuke's large cuts along his body. Immediately, she understood.
