Zac and I are officially married and Zaya is now five. Watching her grow over the years has been nothing short of amazing to see. She is definitely a reflection of both her dad and myself.
Waiting in the car ride line to pick up Zaya
Zaya comes running out with her hair all over the place her teacher was right behind her. She must be in trouble
Ms. April: Hello Ms. Taylor Zaya got in to a little trouble today she had to sit by herself for a little
Fatima: Oh no I will talk to her thank you
Zaya got in the car and buckled herself in
Fatima rolled up the window and drove off
Fatima: Zaya Marie what did you do now
Zaya: It wasn't me mommie it this ashy boy in my class he started it I just finished it
Fatima: Well what happened
Zaya: We were writing a list of what we wanted for Christmas and he said that Santa was going to bring him everything he asked for. I told him that Santa is not real
Fatima: Santa is real
Zaya: You and daddy told me never to lie and Santa is not real
Fatima: Santa brings you gifts every year if your a good girl
Zaya: Mommie I know Santa isn't real because I saw you and daddy putting all my gifts under the tree. I even seen daddy eating the cookies I made.
Fatima: Zaya you were supposed to be in the bed and not being nosey
Zaya: Sorry mommie I couldn't sleep and I seen the light was on.
Fatima: What am I going to do with you little girl
Zaya: See I was right
Tis the Season song came on the radio
Zaya: Can you turn it up please
Zaya started singing
Tis the Season to be grateful
Tis the season to be jolly
It's the time of the year
To have fun and cheer
It's Christmas, it's Christmas.
Fatima smiled looking in the mirror at Zaya singing her little heart out
Fatima pulled up to their dream house that they built once business started booming for both of them. Zac was successful with flipping properties and selling them. I had my own law firm that was thriving since I opened the doors.
Fatima: Babe we're home
Zaya running in the house and throwing her stuff every where but the right place
Zaya: Daddy daddy look what I made today I want all this for Christmas
Zac: Let's see what Santa is going to bring my princess
Zaya: You mean you and mommie daddy you're so silly
Zac: No Santa
Fatima: Your daughter doesn't believe in Santa because when she was suppose to be sleep but she was watching us wrap gifts and eat cookies
Zac gave Zaya a look and she already knew
Zaya: Sorry daddy I know I should have been sleep
Zac: It's okay but just because you don't believe in Santa doesn't mean other kids don't so lets just keep that to ourselves
