When No One Else Is Around

Chapter 1

Troye was sitting in the library, studying for the quiz he was about to take in Biology the next week. When he notices the most popular guy in school, Connor walk in, his arm around some blonde girl who you know wouldn't give you the time of day. Troye stares just a bit too long, when he notices Connor glancing back at him, Connor grins a bit at Troye, Troye smiles back and then looks back down to his book.
Before Troye can look back up he notices Connor right by his side and his girlfriend, still by his side,
"Hey nerd" Connor snorts
Troye looks up at him blankly, confused because a minute ago Connor was smiling at him.
"Are you talking to me?" Troye stutters
"Yeah I am! Listen, I know you are studying for the huge Biology test next week and you better help me study or else I'll have my friends have a talk a with you.." Connor threatens
His girlfriend giggles and touches Connors arm.
"Uh-uh yeah sure, of course." Troye says quietly.
"Good, where do you live? I'll meet you there after school." Connor asks.
Troye tells Connor his address and Connor leaves.

Later that day...

Troye is walking home that afternoon when he hears footsteps coming from behind him, he ducks out of instinct, but he feels a soft hand touch his back.
"Hey" Connors voice comes from behind
Troye looks up at Connor and nods his head at him. Connor stares at him for a bit and then becomes a jumble of words.
"Listen Troye, I am so sorry for earlier, just sometimes I feel like if I don't act that way than people well start to treat me different and if you don't want to help me study, I totally understand-"
Troye cuts in "It's fine.."
Connor stares at him blankly
"Wait, seriously?" Connor blurts
"Yeah, it's fine.. I'm used to it, really." Troye admits
"That isn't something you should be used to, Tro-"
"We are here" Troye interrupts
