When No One Else Is Around

Chapter 4

Still Connors P.O.V.

I have no chances with Troye, he doesn't even want to be friends with me. I don't blame him, I know I'm a complete ass and I wanna change.. I really do. Maybe if I just explain to Troye what I've been through he will understand.

Troyes P.O.V.

Troye was staring at Connor confused, because instead of torturing him like he was used to, instead he turned around and walked away. Troye assumed he would just meet Connor after school at home.

Troye didn't have too many friends, only a couple close ones. His home life was pretty decent, but his main goal in life was to become a professional singer, but that wasn't anything he was gonna admit to anyone.

Later that day Troye is at home, waiting for a knock on the door from Connor. Troye was surprisingly excited for Connor to arrive. He paced back and forth around the house, a few hours passed and Connor never arrived.

Of course he wouldn't come, what were you thinking Troye? he thinks to himself. How could you fall for what he said? It was probably all just an act so he could get help with that stupid Biology test.

Troye storms up to his room and slams the door, suddenly overwhelmed with sadness. He lies in his bed and feels tears come to his eyes.

Why am I sad over this dick? Troye thinks to himself. He is the first guy who's ever showed an interest in me, I wanted to know Connors story, I wanted to know why Connor put up this big shield. I just had no guts to ask him, for fear I might push him away. But it seems like it's too late for that, I had already pushed him away.

Why did I care so much? It's not like Connor would ever feel the same way I felt about him. He was straight. He was taken. He only used me for his own benefit. I continue to lay there thinking about him all night and how I will never have a chance with this beautiful, asshole named Connor Franta.
