Ready

Olivia stands at the foot of her bed,having ignored the multiple shouts from the next room,debating on which book that will accompany her on the journey to hogwarts. when she finally decided on the book, she placed it neatly in her carry on.

"What are you doing? Can you not hear me shouting?"huffed an irritated Theodore. "Of course I can I've just chosen to drown your exasperating voice" Olivia says,effortlessly.Olivia is very quick-witted,knows her rights from wrongs and can see her future very clearly.

"Well if you would just drown my 'exasperating' voice back in, you'd know that our carriage is outside" Theo utters ,smugly. Theodore Nott is Olivia's slightly older brother, they are in the same year and house at Hogwarts though Theo enjoys his 3 minute age difference and uses it to his advantage. "Theo are you even ready to leave?I didn't see your suitcase in the two seconds that I took to look in your repellent room."Olivia tells the boy. "I'm more ready than you are! Miss 'I take 20 minutes to choose a book'" Theo mocks Olivia's actions.

"Theo!Olive! Are you both ready? The carriage has been waiting for you!" A woman's voice calls from downstairs.The pair bring their luggage down the hardwood stairs, and are greeted by a slightly disconcerted woman,their maid and parental figure while their father is on business,Alice. "Now, do you have your things?" Alice huffs out,having cleaned the manor for fathers arrival. "Yes" Olivia smiles, "Yes"Theodores voice monotone.

Theodore and Olivia leaves Alice and goes to the carriage,that has now been waiting for at least 20 minutes. "What do you think you'll get in herbology this year?" Theo remarks, hinting at her past years failures at herbology. "Maybe you'll need to date Longbottom" He adds. "I'd bite my tongue if I were you,which Im so glad I'm not, because Tom Riddle is tutoring me this year" Olivia is smug about this,looking forward to her herbology lessons. "Oooo" Theo hums,throwing his arms up in fear mockingly.

The carriage pulls up near the station and the two hop out and thank the driver. Olivia is looking forward to see Lorenzo Berkshire,with whom she has shared a bond with since he fell ill in the first year.Theodore has been close friends with Mattheo Riddle who is very well known in the school,which made it difficult for Olivia to befriend him.

Upon running through the gate into their platform,they're greeted by their friends. Lorenzo gives Olivia a warm hug and they begin catching up as they board the train,heading to their carriage. Theodore and Mattheo share their handshake and flash eachother their secret packs of cigarettes. Theodores only disgusting habit.

Theodore,Mattheo,Lorenzo and Olivia now await the rest of their friends. "How was your summer Olive" Lorenzo curiously asks Olivia.Mattheo and Theodore listen in. "It was good,I finished that book you told me about" Olivia tells the boy,who is excited to hear that she finished his book.Lorenzo is a big fan of reading, in fact he's so happy with it,he doesn't have a preference. you'll catch him reading romance,mystery and coming of age all in the same week. "Wow Olivia, I didn't know you could read" Mattheo says, in a sarcastic tone.

Mattheo has always belittled anything Olivia did, and gets away with it because she is his best friends sister. There is no reason for their antagonism,he just simply finds reasons to bicker with her.

"Really original ,Mattheo.I definitely didn't hear you say that to Weasley last year" Olivia bites back,with a patronising tone. One bad habit of Olivia is that she holds herself above others, and makes it known she sees herself as more than them. She takes great pride in her academics and her talent of observation,she always listens in and analyses wherever she is.

Mattheo bites his tongue, knowing if he said something else to the girl it would end up in tears and a very angry older brother. "I wonder if Lovegood will notice you this year" Theo teases Lorenzo about his crush on Luna Lovegood in the first year,having not let it go.Despite Lorenzo having other crushes and relationships after Luna, Theodore seems to have clung to Lorenzos adoration for Luna Lovegood.
"Ha ha you're sooo funny Theodore. Maybe funny enough that Parkinson will laugh at your jokes this year"Lorenzo utters.Pansy Parkinson has been Theodores target since the second year, when she gave him a quill.

Theodore stays quiet until the train starts to move, when an out of breath Draco appears at the doors of the carriage. "Sorry everyone,I couldn't find my Potions book" He huffs as he takes his seat next to Theodore.Mattheo and Theodore snicker at the boys stupidity. "Hello everyone, Id ask about your summers but I'm not sure if I care" Draco says as he catches his breath. Draco also held himself highly above other ,but was a lot more open about it than Olivia was.

"Where's Blaise?" Lorenzo questions Draco,guessing that if he was last on he might have seen the boy. "I'm not sure,I didn't see him at the station" Draco says while fixing his hair. "He said he'll arrive a week late,his fathers work has held him back at home" Mattheo says while looking around at all of them. "Ah" Lorenzo says, easing the silence.

The food trolley comes round, the squeaking of the wheels remind them,and prompt them to get their money ready. "anything from the trolley dears?" a sweet voice questions them. Olivia says no ,politely and the boys take their pick.

For the rest of the train ride,Olivia decided to continue reading the book she brought with her. She pulled out a hardback copy of 'Little Women' and opens it,some pages are marked with small annotations, for the next person she would like to lend the book to.While the train passed numerous Manors, forests ,factories and lakes Olivia had read 234 pages.Having felt sad,happy,frustrated and bored at the book,she puts it back in her carry -on.As she did so she takes notice of her surroundings, Lorenzo leaning on the wall,asleep ,Draco revising and Theo and Mattheo are chatting amongst themselves.

The train approaches Hogwarts and the children get their things ready to exit the train.
