Jake returns to the party where he locks eyes with Haley and gives a nod.
"Jake, you're just in time for another one of Giselle's stories," Gregory says.
All of the sudden there is a beep and Giselle looks down.
"I gotta do some extra school work, don't wait up, I will be back soon."
Jake looks at Fu and Fu follows Giselle.
"So, Jake, have you given thought if you are going to keep your job after the obligation period is up?" Uncle Wing says.
"Originally I hadn't, but since I was human for a week and I got my dragon powers early I figured that I would let Haley have more of a normal life than I did, besides it's nice to be different even with the responsibility," Jake says.
"That is very mature of you Jake, I don't think anyone could see it that way," Aunt Cathy says.
"I could," Gregory says.
"Of course you could Sweetie," Aunt Cathy says in a tone she used with Jake last year.
"I hate to bum this party but I just got a call from my parents and there is a family emergency, my grandma is in the hospital and they want me home now, I have to go. It was nice to meet all of you," Giselle says.
"You too Sweetie, I hope your grandma gets better," Aunt Cathy says.
"Thanks."
"I'll take you to the plane," Gregory says as he gets up.
"Help!"
"Mommy, there is a mermaid on the beach," Cousin Andrew says.
"Help, I'm looking for a dragon, I heard from a shark that there were dragons on this island," a mermaid calls wiggling across the sand.
"Can we help you?" Jonathan asks as the family stands on the deck.
"Yes, I'm looking for a dragon," the mermaid says.
"We're a whole family of dragons, what do you need help with?" Susan asks.
"Well, I am looking for a specific dragon, he helped my cousin overcome her fear of water."
"How can a mermaid be afraid of water?" Andrew asks.
"You know Silver, I'll be right there," Jake says running down the steps with Trixie and Spud following.
"How can we help?" Spud asks.
"A shark named Tiburon broke out of jail and teamed up with a different evil kelpie, they are attacking Oceria, I need the American Dragon," the mermaid says.
"Yo Fu, how about some air capsules!"
"I'm coming too," Haley runs down.
"Sorry Gum Drop, that is not gonna happen."
"But it would be a great learning experience."
"No Haley, it's too dangerous, kelpies are one of the top 13 most magical creatures in the world," Lao Shi says.
"But I want to help," Haley says.
"You can, you, Trixie, and Spud stay here and keep the family safe and no matter what don't let Gregory know what's going on."
"What!" Haley says.
"No way homie, we are going with you."
"I am the only one who is strong enough and have the training to fight a kelpie without getting killed," Jake says.
"What's so dangerous about a kelpie anyway?" Spud asks.
"They feast off the souls of people and magical creatures, gaining their victims abilities, fortunately for Spudinski his abilities are limited," Fu says carrying some air capsules.
"Hey!" Spud replies.
"Jake, we must go," Lao Shi says.
"Right, let's go G," Jake says as he and Lao Shi transform and use air capsules to breathe.
"How could there be another evil kelpie?" Jake asks as they follow the mermaid into the ocean.
"Although most kelpies are harmless, they will seek revenge if they believe someone they love was unjustly imprisoned," Lao Shi explains.
"So they are mad because the first evil kelpie is in jail," Jake says.
"Exactly," the mermaid says.
"Good job kelpie," Tiburon says to the mermaid.
"Jake, I will deal with the kelpie, you deal with Tiburon," Lao Shi says.
"You sure Gramps," Jake asks.
"Positive," Lao Shi says.
"Okay," Jake says going after Tiburon.
"Dragon, I had a lot of time to prepare for this," Tiburon says.
"I've fought worse than you," Jake responds.
"Hey shark, how about fighting a real dragon," an annoying voice interrupts.
"Gregory, no," Jake says as his cousin recklessly goes into battle.
Tiburon shows he once again got Neptune's trident and traps Gregory in a bubble. He then goes after Jake.
"Yo Gramps, grab Gregory when you're done," Jake says retreating.
"Go young dragon," Lao Shi says.
"Retreating and hiding on the surface? Not gonna work this time," Tiburon says.
"We're coming Tiburon," one of his followers says with a net.
The net is thrown on Jake.
"Jake!" Lao Shi comes from the ocean with the bubble Gregory is trapped in.
"Haley, these are magical scissors, with how weak Jake looks that net must be made of sphinx hair."
"But won't I become weak too."
"You may be exceptionally good for a dragon your age but because you are still young your chi isn't developed all the way yet, Sphinx hair doesn't effect young children, go cut Jake out of that net," Fu says.
Haley transforms and takes the scissors before flying to her brother.
"Thanks Hales, now go help Grandpa," Jake says as Haley takes the net off him.
"You got it Jake," Haley says.
"Jake, it says that the only way Neptune's trident can be destroyed is by dragon fire," Spud says looking on his computer.
"But then Neptune won't have it," Jake says.
"Jake, you know the dragon oath, I will deal with the council," Lao Shi says.
Jake breathes fire and destroys the trident.
"No! Fine, you defeated me, but I won't stop trying to take over the land," Tiburon says before leaving.
