⁺˚⋆。°✩₊Divination with George was always weird. He didn't entirely believe in the subject and you couldn't blame him. Though the teacher seemed to think you had a knack for it. You thought she was interesting in her own way. She didn't seem to care what others thought about it and you probably gave her hope as a teacher of the unliked subject.

Today you were studying tea leaf divination. It was pretty easy for you as you could clearly make out the shapes in reference to your textbook. Sometimes George would nudge you to ask what you saw in his cup.

It was a particularly boring class as the teacher conducted the first round of individual divination quizzes with the students. Everyone had to correctly identify what the tea leaves displayed for them. Though there was some self-interpreting to be done there anyways.

You will be taking the quiz on Saturday, the same as George. Since divination was only twice a week for you. Wednesdays and Saturdays. So in the meantime, you were told to study. Which you were trying to do, but George had other plans.

⁺˚⋆。°✩₊He slid in the booth towards you and pressed his leg against yours, to see if you would move away. You didn't, too focused on the tea leaves in front of you.

"Do you think this looks like the sun or more like an orb to you?" you asked him. You turned towards him not noticing how close he had gotten to you in such a short span of time.

"Whatever you think it is," George responded, grinning from beside you. You blushed and untucked your hair from your ear to block your face from his view.

"George stop, you're messing up my reading," you sternly told him as he breathed into the cup, scrambling the leaves.

"Sorry, y/n," he apologized.

"It's fine, just try not to do that again okay?" you asked. You put your hand down onto the soft fabric of the seat and leaned backwards to rest against the back of the booth seating.

"How much longer do we have left here?" you asked with a hint of annoyance.

"About 10 minutes, won't be too long."

"Good, then I have a break before DADA."

"I can walk to your next class if you'd like?" George suggested.

"That sounds nice," you told him. He was surprised you had actually wanted to walk with him. Since usually you walked by yourself relishing the peace of your thoughts.

⁺˚⋆。°✩₊Trelawney glanced at the two of you since most of the class was concentrating at the moment. She gave you a silent shh and then got back to quizzing the other students. George was sitting right beside you already, so you took advantage of it and rested your head on his shoulder. If anyone had seen that, they would've thought you were a couple already. In fact, some of the Gryffindors did with how you'd been acting.

It was fine to you, but George always got flustered in moments like these. He stared at your hand on the seat cushion and then decided he'd be less bored if he played with your fingers. So he held your hand and drew pictures on your palm. You grinned as you leaned a little forward on his shoulder, still attempting to decipher your leaves.

"Are you worried about our first game?" George broke the thick silence of the classroom, whispering to you. Not that other students weren't whispering already. It was too boring to sit in silence for an hour.

"Always. It's something I can't stop thinking about until it's over with. Have they scheduled it yet?" you asked.

"I don't think so, Oliver hasn't said anything or posted any flyers on the bulletin board in the common room. Usually, it's around the first weekend of November though, from what the older students have told me."

"Then we have time to practice, I just hope I'll catch the snitch so we can win."

"I have a feeling you will," George whispered airily.

He snickered and pointed your eyes towards someone who looked frustrated after Trelawney left their table. Obviously, they didn't do well on the quiz.

"You're gonna fail too if you don't study!" you poked George in the side.

"Ow! No, I won't! Not if we study together," he smirked.

"In your dreams," you replied.

"What? You think I dream about you?" George scoffed playfully.

You sat up, scooting away from him. "Not what was implied, George," you shook your head before glancing at the clock.

The class was finally over.

You walked out of there just about as fast as you could, the crowd of students around you practically drowned out George's protests of you leaving him behind.

Divination was in the North tower, so you made your way down the stairs to the fifth-floor hallway that led out of the north wing of the castle. Your next class was DADA on the first floor, and getting from the North Tower to the first floor by the entrance hall was never fun no matter how many times you did it. In fact, it took about 15 minutes to get there, which was half of your break between classes.

George, with his long legs, eventually caught up to you."Why did you have to leave so fast?" he asked, out of breath.

"Just wanted to get away from a certain person," you replied with a glare.

"Hey! What did I do?" his face contorting.

"Not much, your unnecessary comments were just annoying," you smirked at him.

"That's literally all I'm good at," he huffed.

"You're better at quidditch than you are at being annoying," you shot back.

"You think I'm good at quidditch?"

"Duh! Better than Fred at least."

"I appreciate that, love," he told you. You bumped your shoulder against his. He just smiled at you.

"Really? That's all you're gonna say?"

"Yeah," he shrugged.

"Why don't we talk about something, I'm bored," you told him, stretching your arms out a bit.

"What did you want to talk about?" George asked as he grinned down at you. Then he thought for a bit before saying, "We could talk about our summers, I don't think I've heard about yours yet."

"Right, I only got to tell Diggory and his friends plus my roommates so far. But we went on a bunch of trips! It was super awesome!"

George didn't like your mention of Diggory. No matter how many times you talked about him. Nevertheless, he listened as you rambled on about the many places you visited, the fun stories and magical parts about each place and even going with Cedric to Diagon Alley as you did every year.

Then, you listened to him tell tales of quidditch in the yard at the burrow, and different recipes Molly Weasley had decided to make.
