The soft cartoon voices from the turned on TV travels through the household, the dark clouds outside mirroring the atmosphere inside the room also. Sitting on the carpet leaning against the table placed in the living room, was Abby, and the Diaz twins.

(Y/N) had a blanket around herself and Abby cuddled up against her side drawing in her book, and would sometimes show the older girl, or Issac, and soon went back to finishing up the piece of work.

Issac wrapped his arm loosely around them both wearing a jumper over himself, and grey sweatpants that were also too big for him. A permanent frown was itched onto his face, ever since finding out what had happened to his sister back at Freddy's pizzeria.

It's not like he blamed Mike for her blood nose, and it wasn't that big of a deal, but its the fact she had gotten that in the place was what bothered him the most. And also the fact that his best friend, whom he knew was in love with (Y/N) let her go from his side, which had him confused at that very thought.

"That's a pretty drawing Abbs." Her soft voice snaps him out of his thoughts, glancing down to see her smiling at Abby and tapping the piece of paper that was being coloured in.

Abby beams up at (Y/N) happily flashing a quick grin, hair falling out of the small piggy tail Issac did for her, making the Diaz girl brush it back fondly, and chuckled as Abby scrunches her nose up in response.

The sound of footsteps were heard behind them coming from within the kitchen, making the twins turn their heads to see Mike sitting on the couch holding onto a badge from the pizzeria. She smiled in greeting at the male, while Issac rolled his eyes looking back to the cartoon playing on the TV.

"Hey, Abbs, what are you working on?" Mike asked his sister gently which gained no response, causing (Y/N) to nudge her side a little bit, and gave Mike a sorrowful look. He sighed heavily, "All right. I guess you don't want this, then." He holds out the badge for Abby, who now perked up taking the metal from his hand.

Abby inspected the piece in her hand closely flicking it around back and forth, as the twins share a hopeful look that she would finally open up to Mike more, "It's cool, huh?" Mike smiles a bit widely with his chin in his palm, and it had (Y/N) fawning over how cute he looked.

All hope was shot down when Abby went back to blanked face, placing the badge onto the table behind her without looking, and went back to drawing quietly on her paper with the pens.

A sigh escaped Mike's lips as he stood up from the couch, his shoulders slumping with dejection. The weight of his efforts, his attempts to balance work and family, hung heavily on his shoulders. He heaved open the draws near the dinning table, and chucked the metal inside it.
