The moon hung high in the ink-black sky over Willowbrook, casting a silvery glow upon the quiet town. The night was still, interrupted only by occasional rustlings in the leaves and the distant hum of the town's nocturnal inhabitants.

Down a shadowed street, the police station stood as a silent sentinel, its structure outlined by sparse lamplight. Most of the building was shrouded in darkness, with only a few strategic lights left on, casting a warm, yellow glow that spilled onto the empty sidewalk.

Inside the back office that seemed to be a large shed of sorts, Mike was grunting in pain waking up from being knocked out. He looks down breathing heavily to see his wounds patched up, and dry blood staining his beige coloured shirt from where he had gotten stabbed.

He tried to get up off the orange medical chair he was placed on, thoughts straight away diverting to (Y/N) knowing what he had done to jeopardise her life, and needed to get to her as fast as possible.

Two hands being placed onto his shoulders gently stopped him from moving, making Mike wince glancing up to be met with Issac's worried expression, "Don't move. You will reopen your wounds again."

Mike swallowed to ease his dry throat leaning up a bit with Issac's help, and felt his stomach twist knowing the Diaz male would not be happy with him, "W-what are you doing here?" His question came out raspy, throat feeling like sand paper.

Issac furrowed his brows together with a even more panicked look, "I already know what happened, and how my twin is in-" His words go caught in his throat choked up, causing him to sigh heavily to calm himself, "Vanessa came to pick me and Abby up. She's in the other room right now sleeping."

Mike felt the weight on his shoulders ease a bit hearing his little sister was alright, but it didn't stop his heart from clenching knowing (Y/N) was still in trouble, "We need to go get her," He weakly croaked out, tears blinding his vision cradling his sore arm, "we have to save (Y/N), Issac."

"I know Mike, and we will." He promised firmly trying to keep his own emotions at bay, but in reality he was terrified about losing his twin to whatever had her in its grasps, "But first, we need to hear what Vanessa has to say."

Mike sent Issac a confused look briefly from the corner of his eyes, not missing the way her name came out of his mouth in a hiss, and wondered why his feeling for her change. Than again, it made sense Issac would be pissed off with the woman who knew his twin was in terrible danger.

Footsteps coming out from the shadows around the corner was heard, appearing from the doorway was Vanessa with an alarmed look, "Careful." She advised walking up to the males, placing down a bottle of medicine on the table beside Mike's bed, "I managed to stop the bleeding but you're probably gonna need stitches."
