"No.. It's not like that." Arin felt tears forming.

"I enjoy wangyu, thank you for being so considerate dear." Soobin's father said, ignoring his wife's comment.

Arin looked at Soobin for support. Instead, he didn't meet her eyes. She felt a stab at her chest. But she knew he would never disobey his mother.

Besides, she was just an outsider. Why would he take her side in front of his family. Even Mark didn't. It wasn't the first time Arin was meeting with a typical boy mom.

Meeting with Mark's family was just a sad story to tell on lonely nights she drank wine with a friend. She wished this wasn't the case with Soobin's family, although she could feel it forming.

Arin smiled at Mr Choi as she entered Soobin's house. It was a modest little villa with a lot of wood work, it had an ancient feel to it. The mahogany carvings were pleasant to the eyes.

Soobin and his parents guided her inside. And Soobin sat on the sofa infromt of the coffee table, indicating her to sit down.

Arin nodded as she sat beside Soobin. She saw Mrs Choi clench her jaw, it was too quick but she caught it. Mr Choi sat in front of the two youngsters.

"I hear it's started to get chilly in Seoul." Mr Choi said, trying to initiate a conversation.

"Yes, it is. The weather is wonderful these days." Arin replied, smiling. "It still doesn't stop me from having bingsu." She said, looking at Soobin.

"Hey, you're going to out all my secrets!" Soobin said, laughing.

"He's become a lover boy for you." Mr Choi joined Soobin in hearty laughs.

"I doubt that. He's always been so considerate."

"Really? The Soobin I know doesn't catch hints easily. Yes, he's a wonderful young man, but it takes him very long to understand what the other person is in need of."

"We know each other since music bank happened, maybe that's why?" Arin turning towards Soobin.

"I'm different for you. You're something else." He said softly, his eyes beaming. He resisted the urge to hold her face. What was this feeling? How could he deny what he felt for her.

"Soobin, I'm still here." His father said, indicating no emotion.

Arins cheeks reddened in embarrassment.

"Sorry, dad. I just -"

"Got you!" His dad replied laughing, "few months in Seoul, and you forget how much I like to joke. Arin dear, don't take anything I say seriously! Except when I'm serious."

"What is all that clatter?" Mrs Choi enters with a tray with a kettle, cups, and snacks. She sets it on the coffee table.

"It's nothing. We were just talking." Mr Choi replies.

"Arin, some tea?" Mrs Choi asks, Arin suddenly becomes self-conscious.

"Yes, please."

"Sugar?"

"Just a teaspoon." Mrs Choi mixes a spoon of sugar in the milk tea.

"Thank you."

Meanwhile, Soobin pours tea himself and adds half a teaspoon of sugar.

"I made cinnamon rolls." Mrs Choi announces.

"We can see that, darling." Mr Choi says and laughs as he winks at Soobin.

Mrs Choi looks mildly annoyed.

"Dad! Why do you always pull her leg?" Soobin defends his mother.

"My sweet son, always taking his mothers side." Mrs Choi says, almost on the verge of tears. As she comes near Soobin and places a kiss on his forehead, Soobin kisses her hand and hugs her.
