Caged birds don't sing. They pray out loud.

Once,

A caged bird tried to break through.

She didn't fly away, no,

She just hovered around a little higher than her limits

Searching for the freedom that its instincts urged for,

and so she enjoyed

This newly found freedom, the company.

But not for long!

They captured her,

Chained her feet,

Clipped her wings,

Surrounded her with iron bars.

"It's the consequences of your own actions,"  they said,

It's for your own safety" they said.

She tried to oppose

but the forces were too strong.

So she caved in

and lived a life she never wanted.
